The Secret Circle Cast: Catching Up on Their Lives Today
The Secret Circle may have concluded, yet its stars, including Britt Robertson, Thomas Dekker, and Phoebe Tonkin, continue to grace our screens.
The CW initially achieved success in 2009 with the adaptation of L.J. Smith‘s The Vampire Diaries. Following that, in 2011, the network expanded its repertoire with The Secret Circle. Set in the fictional town of Chance Harbor, Washington, the series centers around Cassie Blake, who discovers her identity as a hereditary witch after relocating post her mother’s murder; she eventually becomes the sixth member of a secret coven.
Despite ranking as The CW’s third-highest rated show, The Secret Circle was canceled after just one season. Fans rallied with various campaigns in hopes of reviving the show; however, The Secret Circle has yet to make a return.
Creator Andrew Miller has shared insights into where he envisioned the story heading, had he been given the opportunity.
“A movie, a play, a commercial campaign for crystals, anything you can think of,” Miller mentioned to Book Trib in 2012. “[Production company] Alloy [Entertainment] reached out to me about exploring a lower-budget version of the show that could be produced on Netflix, and I proposed an idea I was genuinely excited about and would have jumped at the chance.”
He elaborated: “The story would follow [Shelley Hennig]’s Diana as she navigated life in California after the finale, feeling lost and torn between her good nature and the dark magic she had just harnessed to kill her father. My vision was to establish her life in California and then introduce [Phoebe Tonkin]’s Faye to complicate things.”
Though The Secret Circle joined the ranks of many short-lived shows on The CW, the cast has consistently shared updates about their reunions over the years. Continue scrolling to discover the current endeavors of the The Secret Circle cast:
