Facelift Insights from Real Housewives Stars Jacqueline Laurita and Lynne Curtin
Former Real Housewives stars Jacqueline Laurita and Lynne Curtin recently had facelifts together.
The Housewives icons announced last week that they would be undergoing face and neck lift surgeries, along with CO2 laser treatments, by Newport Beach, California cosmetic surgeon Dr. Steven Ip on Monday, May 5. Dr. Ip’s Instagram highlighted the surgeries as “the first time” he performed back-to-back operations on two friends.
After the procedures, Jacqueline, 55, and Lynne, 68, took to social media, providing their followers with daily updates from their hospital rooms as they recovered.
“SO FAR I can’t feel a thing! I feel great,” the RHONJ alum shared on Monday. “I’m still waiting for the other half of my face to wake up that was worked on last. It should be soon! That’s why it’s not moving yet.”
Jacqueline also mentioned that she had “Aquaphor on [her] face and [was] keeping [her] head up and straight forward.”
“This is a great crew here! Everyone has been excellent! The catheter will be removed tonight and my oxygen has already been taken off,” she added. “My drains will come out tomorrow, and I’ll get to go home bright and early.”
At that time, she noted that Lynne had just been wheeled into their room but was too “groggy” to say much. However, the next day, both women felt well enough to engage in an Instagram Live Q&A with fans.
“I have not taken a single pain pill this entire time. It doesn’t even hurt,” Jacqueline emphasized, while Lynne added, “I’m not sore at all!”
The two reality stars reminded each other during the Instagram Live that they were breaking their doctor’s rule by looking at comments, as they had been advised not to turn their heads.
“I know it looks like we have jockstraps on our heads,” Jacqueline humorously remarked about the bandages they wore.
The Housewives duo received support from former RHOC star Kelly Dodd, who commented, “This is amazing 🔥🔥🔥🔥you all look fantastic.” Another former Orange County Housewife, Peggy Tanous, also remarked that both women’s quick recovery was “so impressive.”
Dr. Ip provided more insights on the ladies’ surgeries in a follow-up vlog on Wednesday, May 7, confirming that their healing was “going great.”
“How they looked right after [the procedure], everything was perfect,” the doctor mentioned via Instagram. “They’ll look fantastic when it’s all said and done. The recovery is going very smoothly right now… and I’m super pleased with the results.”
Jacqueline expressed her gratitude to Dr. Ip once more, stating, “We are enjoying the surprisingly easy recovery! You’re the best! We appreciate you and your wonderful staff and lovely wife @iammelissalocke!”
Lynne was a cast member on The Real Housewives of Orange County during its fourth and fifth seasons, from 2008 to 2010. Much of her storyline involved her family’s financial struggles and her tumultuous marriage to husband Frank Curtin—whom she divorced in 2019. (The couple shares daughters Raquel, born in 1990, and Alexa, born in 1992.)
Jacqueline was an original cast member on The Real Housewives of New Jersey and participated in the Bravo reality series on and off through season 7. She had many memorable confrontations with her best friend-turned-adversary Teresa Giudice on RHONJ, though the two have since reconciled. Jacqueline and her husband Chris Laurita moved from New Jersey to Las Vegas in 2019 and then to Orange County, California in 2023. (Jacqueline and Chris have sons C.J., born in 2002, and Nicholas, born in 2009, along with her daughter Ashlee, born in 1990, from a previous relationship.)
