Kim Kardashian Unveils Bold New Haircut: ‘I Promise, It’s Not a Wig’
Kim Kardashian continues to show her versatility when it comes to personal fashion.
“Loving this new haircut on Kim; we took off 7 inches!” stylist Chris Appleton posted on Instagram on Sunday, February 2, along with a picture of the high-profile entrepreneur flaunting her fresh haircut.
“(No, it’s not a wig before anyone jumps to conclusions lol),” the celebrity stylist added in the caption. “For styling, we chose a classic deep side part inspired by Tom Ford Gucci 96.”
Kardashian, 44, also displayed her new style on her Instagram Story on Sunday. The reality star donned a stunning, all-black backless halter dress. The Balmian couture crocodile dress embraced Kardashian’s form, highlighted generous side-cleavage, and showcased her midriff.
“Congrats @emmagrde on such a memorable evening raising funds to support victims of the Altadena fire and aid Black entrepreneurs and businesses @15percentpledge,” Kardashian wrote on one of her pictures, informing her fans that her new look was for a worthy cause.
Certainly, her latest hairstyle is not the first dramatic transformation Kardashian has unveiled. In August 2024, the mother of four revealed her vibrant red locks, nearly deceiving fans into thinking she was merely wearing a wig. (In other words, stylist Appleton is adept at addressing wig speculation promptly.)
In pictures shared via Instagram Story at that time, Kardashian sported her new red hair straightened, with her longer tresses swept behind her shoulders.
In 2022, Kardashian also gave fans an insight into the “tedious” nature of achieving the perfect hair color for an event as significant as the Met Gala.
“The hair dyeing process is incredibly tedious and frustrating. We don’t have a shampoo bowl, so we have to rinse it endlessly. It is what it is,” Kardashian remarked at the time, noting that it took almost two days to perfect her hair for a Marilyn Monroe-inspired appearance.
“It needs to be the right color [and] I can’t afford to have my hair fall out,” she added. “We must get it right because we have just one day to dye it, so we’ll be up for the next 15 hours just dyeing it.”
