Danielle Olivera Provides Update on Her Newborn Son Following NICU Stay
In the City star Danielle Olivera has provided an uplifting update regarding her and boyfriend Eoin Heavey’s baby boy Aidan, who has just completed a two-month stay in the NICU.
“Yesterday Aidan graduated from the NICU after 63 days! He’s finally home 🥹💙 We love you Stony Brook [Hospital], thank you so much for everything,” Olivera, 37, expressed on Instagram this past Monday, August 24.
In her joyful update, the Summer House alum, 37, and Heavey, 39, posed with Aidan in front of a sign commemorating their son’s significant achievement on Sunday, August 23.
“Aidan [has] graduated,” the sign proclaimed. “After 63 days in the NICU, it’s time for me to move in with my family on this 23rd day of August, 2026.”
Olivera’s followers on Instagram flooded her comments section with warm wishes and congratulations for finally welcoming their little one home.
Summer House star Ciara Miller expressed her support, commenting, “Sooooo sweeettt ❤️❤️”
“Best feeling ever for mom and dad!! Congrats, you finally get to have your baby snuggles at home. As a preemie mom, you’ll never forget this day,” added influencer Kristen Knutson.
Back in June, Olivera mentioned that Aidan had a “long road ahead” and would be staying in the NICU for an extended period after being born 10 weeks early. Heavey compared their son’s NICU stay to “summer camp,” noting that their first child would likely require 24-hour care for “his first 2/3 months in this world.”
“Baby and parents are doing well,” Olivera shared via Instagram on June 25. “Overwhelmed by the love and support, thank you all so much!!”
Olivera continued, “I’m still going through so many of your heartfelt messages and NICU journeys — it means more than you know that you’re sharing those with me.”
In July, she confirmed that Aidan was “getting stronger every day” thanks to the exceptional care at Stony Brook Medicine in New York.
“To the incredible NICU team at Stony Brook, our family, and friends, and every NICU mom who reached out with love, advice, and hope — thank you. You’ve supported us in ways you’ll never know,” she reflected on Instagram at that time.
Positive developments indicating that Aidan’s discharge was imminent emerged on August 1 when Olivera and Heavey shared that their son had grown to “6lbs, 15 oz and 20.5 inches long.”
“We started oral feeds to gradually wean him off the feeding tube. He has traded his preemie diapers for newborn size,” she remarked. “He loves his wonderful nurses who make him feel special and care for him so well. Currently, he’s Daddy’s twin.”
The Bravo star shared that she and Heavey were able to monitor Aidan even when they were at home, thanks to a live feed set up by the NICU team.
“Thankful we’re able to see him when we’re not there,” she expressed. “Thank you all for your support. I’ll keep you posted about when we can take him home! Proud of our smiley little legend.”
