Hilaria Baldwin and Her Daughter Tease a Beauty Recipe Book on ‘The Baldwins’
Hilaria Baldwin and her daughter Carmen are the queens of DIY beauty.
Hilaria, 41, and her 11-year-old daughter Carmen, whom she shares with husband Alec Baldwin, recently discussed the motivation behind their book, Glowing Up: Recipes to Rock Your Natural Beauty, which was released last month. In an exclusive clip from their popular show The Baldwins, Hilaria revealed her daughter’s enthusiasm for at-home beauty practices and realized they should work together on a skincare book.
“Carmen loves experimenting with her own skincare recipes,” Hilaria shared during a confessional interview set to air on TLC on Sunday, April 6 at 10 p.m. ET. “She’s always having fun creating things with orange juice and coffee.”
The scene shifts to Hilaria and Carmen blending a skincare recipe in their kitchen, using fresh lemons and honey.
“As I observed my daughter playing and exploring, I contacted my agent and said I believe Carmen has a book within her,” Hilaria further explained, assuring that all recipes would be tested by both of them first.
Carmen then applied the honey blend to her mother’s lips and gently massaged in the natural treatment.
Alec also made a brief appearance, expressing his admiration for his pre-teen daughter stepping into the world of beauty at such a young age.
“I honestly didn’t see that coming,” he confessed. “She didn’t seem very girly to me, you know what I mean? With the makeup and those things in her hair.”
As a clip showed Carmen applying mascara, Alec added, “[She spent] two hours in the mirror with her friends.”
“I’ve worked with Hollywood actresses who are among the most famous in the world. They don’t spend 45 minutes on their lashes, not even their makeup artists do,” the actor joked.
The Baldwins airs every Sunday at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
