Kelly Bensimon and Other Celebrities Reveal Trends They Wish to Say Goodbye to in 2024

Fashion trends tend to circle back, yet some styles are best left in the past as we move into 2024.

“The catsuit is sticking around,” RHONY alum Kelly Bensimon shared exclusively with Us Weekly at the iHeartRadio’s Z100 Jingle Ball in New York City on December 13. “I just saw that on Alix Earle and thought, ‘I really like that.’”

Bensimon, 56, added: “I wore that in the early ‘90s. I’m a bit older than Alix, so I’m not sure if I’ll be donning the Catwoman outfit.”

The catsuit isn’t the only style making a comeback. Widely debated, skinny and low-rise jeans have prompted discussions among Bensimon, Bachelor Nation’s Ashley Iaconetti, and RHOC alum Meghan King, who share differing views on these denim styles.

For their perspectives on current fashion trends and what music stars like Dasha and Alex Warren wish to leave behind in 2024, check out the exclusive video above or keep scrolling:

I’ve always had a fondness for skinny jeans. My daughters often tell me, “Mom, they’re never coming back.” I equate bringing skinny jeans back to reviving Real Housewives of New York. I still adore skinny jeans and hope they make a return. Let’s also revive Real Housewives for true authenticity, and we’ll look dazzling for 2025.

Honestly, skinny jeans are the only type that truly makes you look fabulous. While baggier styles can be fun, if you want to turn heads, skinny jeans or leggings are the way to go. I’m a fan of leggings as well.

It’s not about a trend for 2024 I want to leave behind, but rather a firm intention to ensure skinny jeans never make a comeback. I have loathed them since their peak popularity, and I know some are pushing for their return, but I strongly oppose that.

As for low-rise jeans, I gave them a shot but regretted it immediately, particularly two months postpartum. Even if I weren’t recently postpartum, I would still have to say absolutely not.

If I had to choose trends to leave behind in 2024, it would definitely be low-rise jeans. They belong up high, where they can look their best.

One trend I want to move away from? Unjustified negativity towards others. If it doesn’t impact your life, there’s no need to comment. It’s tiresome. Just be kind. It’s really not that difficult. Seriously.

The behavior I wish to see disappear is people driving in the left lane when they’re not going fast. It’s the fast lane for a reason! If you’re not maintaining speed, kindly move over. That’s just common courtesy!

I’d like to leave behind the trend of dating guys who are not as attractive as you. That’s definitely something I want to move away from.
