Jason Tartick Playfully Suggests Kaitlyn Bristowe Would Make an ‘Interesting’ Interview Subject
Jason Tartick may have featured Erin Lichy on his podcast, but fans quickly assumed he was interviewing his former fiancée, Kaitlyn Bristowe.
“Do you want to know what happened when I shared your story?” Tartick, 36, inquired of Lichy, 37, during the January 20 episode of his “Trading Secrets” podcast. “So many people were like, ‘Oh my God, I thought this was your ex-fiancée.’ I had no idea, but the one picture I posted gave that impression. I was like, ‘Oh s—.’”
Tartick emphasized that he doesn’t believe Lichy and Bristowe, 39, “actually look alike,” but upon seeing that one photo, his reaction was, “Oh, my God.”
“They thought you were interviewing your ex-fiancée?” Lichy pressed, to which Tartick responded, “They were like, ‘I just had to do a triple check right there.’ I’m like, ‘No.’ Because that would be quite the interview.”
Tartick and Bristowe announced their split in August 2023, two years after becoming engaged. Since then, both have shared insights regarding their breakup, with Bristowe suggesting that Tartick exhibited a “victim mentality” post-breakup.
“I don’t want to undermine that he’s hurting. His feelings are valid, and he’s in pain,” she expressed during a January 2024 episode of her “Off the Vine” podcast. “I have communicated with him so openly and honestly. We have been very transparent with each other to maintain respect for one another.”
After Tartick went public with his new girlfriend Kat Stickler months later, Bristowe seemed to comment on the relationship indirectly. “People make me f—ing sick,” she wrote in several Instagram Story updates in June 2024. “What people will do for attention is making me want to leave the internet forever.”
Tartick and Stickler, 30, ultimately ended their relationship, announcing their breakup in October 2024 after a six-month romance. Meanwhile, Bristowe sparked dating rumors with Zac Clark on New Year’s Eve in 2023, promptly denying any allegations of infidelity toward Tartick.
“You’d think by now I’d be accustomed to the hate. I’m not. Your words sting. Your shaming hurts. A part of me feels a bit sad and honestly embarrassed for you guys because this shouldn’t be how you spend the first day of a new year,” Bristowe shared via her Instagram Story in January 2024. “You shouldn’t be this invested in someone you don’t even know or respect. It’s actually alarming, and I understand that looking within might be even scarier for you. But the bullying is on another level. You are entitled to your opinions and feelings.”
She continued, “But you don’t even know the truth, and your HATE should carry consequences. I genuinely worry about some of you and your mental health. It’s not OK. It’s. Not. Please. Please feel shame for treating someone this way when you don’t know them. I did not commit a crime. I simply had a gathering with some dear friends. Shame. On. YOU. Not me.”
In response to a separate narrative, Bristowe addressed the rumors directly, stating, “Here to clarify that there was never an ounce of cheating, and I will not tolerate this rumor. Y’all are NASTY in here. Anyhow. I swear on my dogs’ lives. No cheating occurred. So we can lay that to rest. Thank you!! Happy new year everyone. Go donate some blood or something!”
