Joey King, Zendaya, and Other Stars Go Platinum with Bleached Eyebrows
While it may not be a total revival, bleached eyebrows are experiencing a significant resurgence among a fresh wave of trendsetters.
Following the experiments of celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Lizzo, and Julia Fox with peroxide-blonde brows in 2022—only to revert to their natural shades soon after—more stars are now embracing this minimalist aesthetic.
Take Joey King, for instance, who traded her signature dark brows for nearly transparent blonde strands in January 2025. She unveiled her avant-garde look on Instagram, where friends including Sabrina Carpenter and Noah Cyrus (who also has bleached brows) lauded her refreshing beauty choice.
“It’s unfair to look this fabulous without eyebrows,” Carpenter remarked, with Cyrus commenting, “THIS IS YOUR LOOK.”
In addition to King, Alix Earle momentarily showcased bleached brows in May 2024 during an 11-hour shoot for the digital edition of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. She teased the style on TikTok before announcing that she would be the first-ever digital cover model for SI Swimsuit.
