Zoe Saldana Reveals Her Fun Preparation for the Elio Premiere

Zoe Saldaña ensures her glam is always intact.

On Wednesday, June 18, Saldaña, 47, took to Instagram to reveal her secret to keeping her makeup flawless while getting dressed. The actress sported a bag over her head to avoid smudging her glam on her burnt orange Saint Laurent top and eye-catching skirt, which she wore to the Elio premiere in Los Angeles on June 10.

In the photos, Saldaña shared a laugh with her stylist, Petra Flannery, as she playfully pulled her shirt over her face.

Thanks to makeup artist Vera Steimberg, Saldaña showcased soft brown eyeshadow from the Patrick Ta Major Dimension III Matte Eyeshadow Palette. Her makeup was completed with dewy skin, bronzed cheeks, and red lips. Hairstylist Mara Roszak ensured Saldaña’s hair was picture-perfect by parting it down the middle and pulling it back into a loose ponytail while leaving face-framing pieces out and curling them.

Saldaña finished off her look with pointed-toe heels and gold jewelry.

“And that’s how you GRWM 🤪,” she captioned the lighthearted post. She acknowledged her stylist and glam team, writing, “@petraflannery Carefully crafting a slay fit without interfering with the artwork created by @makeupbyvera7 and @mararoszak 🙂‍↔️.”

Her celebrity friends joined in on the laughter in the comments section.

“This !!! 😂😂😂😂,” actress Jill Wagner commented, while Flannery added a flurry of laughing emojis.

Saldaña lends her voice to Olga Solis in Elio, which also features Jameela Jamil, Brad Garrett, Yonas Kibreab, and more. At the premiere, Saldaña posed alongside Jamil, 39, who dazzled in a crocodile corset dress adorned with a strapless neckline and a fitted skirt, complemented by patent leather pointed-toe Christian Louboutins.

As per the official movie synopsis, Elio follows “a space fanatic with an active imagination and a huge alien obsession,” according to Disney. The film is set to debut on Friday, June 20.
