DWTS’ Jackson Olson Reveals His Reasons for Getting Veneers
Savannah Banana’s Jackson Olson is responding to comments regarding his smile.
“I’ve been receiving numerous videos, comments, and questions about my teeth,” Olson, 28, stated via TikTok on Monday, September 21. “No, they’re not real. They’re veneers.”
The Dancing With the Stars season 35 participant further elaborated that three years ago, during a baseball game, a ball struck him in the face, resulting in a broken jaw. “Despite it being one of the worst pains I’ve ever experienced, I had one question for my athletic trainer: are my teeth okay?” In the video, he can be seen clutching his jaw as he gets back up. His trainer assured him that his teeth appeared “fine.”
“30 minutes later, I found myself in the hospital, realizing my teeth were, in fact, not fine,” he recalled, sharing an old video of himself dancing in his uniform while in a hospital room. After three weeks, Olson returned to the field, but with a protective cage on his helmet to safeguard his jaw.

His experience attracted the attention of a cosmetic dentist who informed him that his teeth were “at risk of dying.” Additionally, he had gaps between his teeth “due to the impact.”
“This was my chance to improve before things got much worse,” he expressed. “Sometimes life throws you a curveball — or even worse, a 90-mile-an-hour pitch to the face. But through all the challenges life presents, remember to stay positive, keep living your life, and good things will often follow in return.”
“This is the story about my fake teeth,” Olson wrote in his post. “Don’t ask me about the Chipotle smoothies I had to eat 😭🤢.” Fans quickly rallied to support Olson, who was partnered with pro Emma Slater, in the comments.
“Your teeth are fine. I’m really sorry that the internet is making this a big deal. Keep smiling and being an amazing guy,” one comment read, which Olson “liked.” Another fan added, “Yep, they look fantastic! Perfect smile.😁🫶💛.”
During the first week of Dancing With the Stars, Olson and Slater, 37, performed a Savannah Bananas-themed cha-cha to the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe.” They scored a 15 out of 30. On Tuesday, September 22, the couple will return to the ballroom to dance a Foxtrot to “That’s So True” by Gracie Abrams.
