Summer House star Kyle Cooke took a moment to acknowledge his estranged wife Amanda Batula during the season 10 premiere party, just weeks after they announced their separation.

“Through all the highs and lows, you have always been there for me,” Kyle, 43, expressed at the event on Wednesday, February 3, becoming emotional when he mentioned her name. “I will always cherish the many memories we created together. This season feels more bitter than sweet for us, but I believe we will both find happiness, in whatever form that takes.”

He wrapped up with a light-hearted comment, saying, “And yes, I will still assist you with your taxes.”

During a dinner conversation on the first night, Amanda claimed that Kyle “started” his DJ career after she expressed her intent to launch her own business.

Summer House star Kyle Cooke is opening up following his split from Amanda Batula. “I think people will be surprised but also pleased to see that Amanda and I are in a good place,” Cooke, 43, shared with podcast host Adam Glyn in a video on TikTok on Thursday, January 22. “Obviously, […]

“He got so upset about it that he decided to pursue DJing just to spite me,” she claimed, to which Kyle remarked, “My wife never asks me questions, and now she’s actually just not listening; it’s wonderful.”

Amanda then playfully ridiculed her husband, saying, “Guys, I’m so jealous it completely overtakes my body. … Did you say, jealous?” Kyle responded, “No, I was just saying you weren’t paying attention.”

Kyle and Amanda announced their separation on January 19 after four years of marriage.

“After much contemplation, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” they wrote on Instagram. “We share this message with heavy hearts and kindly ask for your understanding as we focus on our personal growth and healing.”

Shortly after, Kyle mentioned that fans “will be surprised but also happy” to learn that he and Amanda are “in a good place.”

“I think people will be surprised but also pleased to see that Amanda and I are in a good spot,” he told “Hollywood Raw” podcast host Adam Glyn on January 22. “Of course, the internet will do its thing, but we literally hit send together.”

“It’s quite a lot to digest when your entire relationship has been on TV from the very start. So, we knew it wouldn’t be simple,” he added.

Although fans speculated that he and Amanda had been living apart before their split, Kyle clarified that they “just weren’t ready to talk about it.”

“We weren’t dishonest about it; we didn’t split or separate. We were trying to figure out the best way to give our relationship another chance. Eventually, we decided we didn’t want to give each other or our friends and family false hope, nor do we want to give our fans false hope. … There’s no playbook,” he shared. “We were aligned in recognizing the need for some space. … This isn’t a big surprise.”

Amanda, on the other hand, told SiriusXM’s Front Row cohost Kiki Monique on January 27 that she and Kyle are “doing well.”

“It’s … easier to get along,” she added. “But we’re good. We talk all the time. We’re both traveling. So I’m taking care of the dogs. He’s taking care of the dogs. We’re co-parenting the dogs together. I still call him if I have questions.”

Summer House airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
