Lala Kent Speculates Whether Luke Broderick Is the Father of the Baby
Lala Kent is grappling with the shocking notion that Luke Broderick might actually be the sperm donor for her daughter Sosa.
“Can you not see the resemblance? They are so alike,” Lala revealed exclusively to Us Weekly during the celebration for season 3 of The Valley. “When he mentioned, ‘I’ve donated sperm,’ the surprise on my face was visible. I honestly thought, ‘Holy s***.’”
In the episode aired on Wednesday, April 1, Luke confirmed to Lala that he had previously donated sperm as a college student.
“During my senior year, I donated sperm to the same bank that Lala used to conceive Sosa,” he disclosed.
Lala expressed, “I never anticipated him saying he donated sperm to the same cryo bank I used for Sosa. So now Kristen [Doute] is Sosa’s stepmom. Oh my gosh, no.”
Despite the stirring revelations, Lala confirmed to Us that she is genuinely unsure of what to make of the situation.
“I remember the donor I selected was from a fresh batch,” she recounted to Us. “I received a call from the cryo bank saying, ‘Hey, this incredible donor just became available,’ and I made the quick decision to secure all the goods. My donor is exclusive, meaning once it’s sold, it’s gone. Can you fathom? What I tried to avoid is now in front of me every day. That would be my ultimate nightmare.”
When Us inquired if he could be the sperm donor of Sosa, Luke confessed that he truly couldn’t say for sure.
“You know, we sign a confidentiality form, so I can’t comment on this,” he stated. “Actually, I can because I really don’t know. I relinquished the right to know. So, if she chose to send my swimmers upstream, Sosa can discover the truth someday, should she wish.”
Luke added, “If she decides against knowing, we should allow her to grow up. I mean, Lala made this choice. It’s fair that Sosa gets to decide.”
For now, many cast members remain both shocked and amused by the thought of Luke potentially being involved in Lala’s contemporary family dynamics.
“This is blowing my mind,” Danny Booko quipped to Us. “I had completely forgotten about this! When I saw it again, I was like, ‘This is crazy.’ I need to find out more.”
The Valley airs on Bravo Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET, with new episodes available to stream the following day on Peacock.
