Kylie Kelce Reveals She’s Clueless About the Plot of Vanderpump Rules
Kylie Kelce acknowledges that she knows about a dark-haired woman on Vanderpump Rules, but that’s the extent of her familiarity with the Bravo series.
Kelce, aged 32, invited pop culture expert Amanda Hirsch to the January 23 episode of her podcast “Not Gonna Lie.” Together, they engaged in a segment called “Coach Me Up,” in which Hirsch provided Kelce with a brief tutorial on various pop culture topics.
As a soon-to-be mother of four, Kelce admitted she needed a lot of help in understanding reality TV.
“I’ll be honest, I’m terrible at keeping up with [pop culture]; words can’t describe how bad I am,” she confessed. “I don’t really watch reality TV or stay updated on celebrity news.”

Her initial question was quite relatable for someone not well-versed in reality TV — she inquired about the best Real Housewives franchise to begin with. However, her follow-up question clearly showcased her unfamiliarity: “What is Vanderpump Rules?”
In response, Hirsch turned away from the camera, exclaiming, “Oh my God, we have work to do.”
Kylie reassured her that she had at least heard of the show. “I know there’s a prominent dark-haired woman who leads the show,” she mentioned, referring to Bravo icon Lisa Vanderpump. “That’s the extent of my knowledge. I can’t tell you anything else about it or other cast members.”
Hirsch then provided Kelce with a brief overview of how the show originated from Vanderpump’s time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, highlighting the drama among the employees at her restaurant, SUR.
“However, they’re all in their 40s now, so they’re no longer working there,” she noted. “But I’m glad you’ve learned about it now. I’ll take pride in knowing that you’re aware of what it is.”
While Kelce didn’t promise to binge-watch all 11 seasons of the series, she did ask for recommendations on which dating show to start with. She mentioned having heard of Love Island but never having seen “a single episode.”
Hirsch advised her to begin with Love Is Blind instead, which would require less of a commitment than Love Island, known for its lengthy seasons that can reach up to 49 episodes.
Much like her insight on VPR, Kelce had only a very basic understanding of Love Is Blind.
“Is Love Is Blind the one where they talk through a wall?” she questioned. “And then meet up in that strange hallway at the end? I’ve seen clips of that hallway on TikTok.”
She assured Hirsch she would give Love Is Blind a shot, “If I ever get around to it.”
