Lawson Bates and Wife Tiffany Celebrate the Arrival of Their Second Baby
Bringing Up Bates alums Lawson Bates and Tiffany Bates have joyfully welcomed their second child.
“The water keeps coming,” Tiffany, 32, shares in a nearly hour-long vlog posted to YouTube on Sunday, January 11, marking the arrival of the couple’s newest addition. “We’re gonna have to go to the hospital.”
“We’re SO EXCITED to present baby Teddy’s OFFICIAL BIRTH VLOG 🥳,” the couple captioned their YouTube post. “Make sure to like, share, and subscribe, so you don’t miss any updates! 🎞️”
The reality TV duo revealed in June 2025 that they were expecting.
“Our family’s sequel is officially in production 🎞️🍼,” they wrote on Instagram at the time. “BABY 2 COMING WINTER 2025 🌟.”
Staying true to form, the couple shared the delightful news through their vlog, where Tiffany talked about her feelings regarding the pregnancy announcement.
“I literally can’t believe it. I’m still in shock. Tiffany’s in shock,” Lawson joked after they left a doctor’s appointment in the video. “You get all hyped up, knowing you want a new baby, but when it finally happens, you just can’t believe it. It’s a miracle.”
This couple previously welcomed their son Will in July 2024 after Tiffany experienced a miscarriage the year before.
“I was so scared. I’m so happy, but at the same time, I’m scared because I don’t want to lose this one too,” Tiffany tearfully shared in a March 2024 YouTube video after discovering she was pregnant with Will. “But I know that God’s in control. … Oh my gosh, you guys. [This pregnancy test] says, ‘pregnant.’ It says, ‘pregnant!’ You guys, wow! I’m so excited, but I’m very nervous.”
Tiffany revealed her pregnancy to Lawson by setting up a charming “baby” sign in their living room, complete with three positive pregnancy tests that had a rustic flair.
Lawson admitted he had “no clue” the sign was meant to indicate a new baby was on the way.
“I was so stunned,” he joked. “I didn’t even catch it. I can’t believe it. I literally started looking at Tiff as she was talking and I said, ‘Wait a second, that says, ‘Baby.’”
He continued, “I’m still in the twilight zone. Last time, it felt unreal, and it feels the same way again. I can’t process that it’s happening. It’s almost like when I was standing on the back of the boat with the pastor saying, ‘This is it. I’m getting married. I can’t believe this.’”
Lawson, the fourth eldest child of Gil and Kelly Jo Bates, began dating Tiffany in February 2021. After eight months of courting, they got engaged in October 2021 and married less than a year later in May 2022.
Nearly a year into their marriage, Tiffany discovered she was expecting. Tragically, she faced the heartbreaking loss of their daughter, Hope, in September 2023.
“Our little angel baby went home to heaven,” Tiffany wrote on Instagram the following December. “Our hearts have never been more broken. As we take time to grieve, we continue to praise the Lord for all His blessings, including our miracle baby. God is still good.”
She added at that time, “We can’t wait to hold our baby one day! We’ve read all of your comments and are so encouraged by your kindness. The stories you’ve shared with us about your journeys have truly touched our hearts, and we are praying for you!”
