Maralee Nichols, Tristan Thompson’s Ex, Shares Adorable Photos of Son Theo

Maralee Nichols is sharing an exclusive look at her day-to-day life with her 4-year-old son, Theo.

“Weekend Adventures ⚡️,” Nichols, 35, captioned a series of family photos on Instagram on Tuesday, January 13.

In one photo, Nichols is seen holding Theo while they observe a group of flamingos at a nearby zoo. The mother-son duo also captured moments from their visits to the New Children’s Museum and the beach in following images.

Nichols announced in December 2021 that she was expecting her son, filing a lawsuit against NBA star Tristan Thompson for child support, asserting he was the child’s father. Thompson, 34, confirmed Theo’s paternity in January 2022 after receiving a positive DNA test.

“Today, paternity test results confirm that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions,” Thompson expressed in a social media statement shortly after Theo’s birth. “With paternity established, I look forward to co-parenting our son amicably.”

He continued, “I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal, both publicly and privately.”

Alongside Theo, Thompson is also a father to three other children. He shares son Prince, 9, with ex Jordan Craig, and children True, 7, and Tatum, 3, with ex Khloé Kardashian. (Thompson and Kardashian, 41, completed an embryo transfer with a surrogate to conceive Tatum just weeks before Nichols’ lawsuit.)

“Khloé, you don’t deserve this. The heartache and humiliation I’ve caused you are unwarranted. You don’t deserve the way I’ve treated you over the years,” Thompson added in his statement. “My actions haven’t reflected how I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you, regardless of what you may think. Again, I am incredibly sorry.”

Thompson and Kardashian ended their relationship following Nichols’ lawsuit.

“I learn about Tristan’s actions through the media, just like everyone else. A heads-up would have been courteous,” Kardashian mentioned in a June 2023 episode of The Kardashians, breaking her silence. “But fine, if you’re going to do it, at least give me a heads-up before the world finds out? It feels like an additional slap in the face. It’s humiliating; I’m embarrassed. I’d rather be alone than surrounded by people.”

Thompson and Nichols later reached a settlement in December 2022, in which he was ordered to pay $10,000 monthly in child support.

Meanwhile, Nichols has been dedicated to raising Theo as a single parent.

“I cherish caring for my son every day and meeting his needs,” she shared exclusively with Us Weekly in February 2022. “It’s incredibly rewarding. I never knew I could love someone this much. He brings immense joy into my life and is my greatest blessing. I will do everything in my power to ensure he is well taken care of.”

She added, “I aim to be the best mommy I can be. I love playing with him and making him laugh. He has the cutest smile and is always so cheerful. I also enjoy reading to him and rocking him to sleep. He is such a cuddly little one.”
