Melissa Gorga has officially added cookie connoisseur to her list of accomplishments with the launch of her own sprinkle cookie business, Sprinkle by MG.

In an exclusive discussion with Us Weekly, the 45-year-old Gorga revealed what drove her to pursue this new endeavor. “Everyone knows sprinkle cookies are my all-time favorite,” Gorga explained. “That iconic scene [on The Real Housewives of New Jersey] was such a moment, and I’ve always dreamed of launching my own — it’s been a long time coming.”

Fans of RHONJ will recall how Gorga’s fondness for the Italian delicacies was highlighted in season 3 when her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, shared the story of how she discarded a box of sprinkle cookies brought by a pregnant Gorga on Christmas Eve. (This incident, which led to a viral TikTok sound, was just one of many events fueling their ongoing feud.)

Since then, Gorga shared, “Everywhere I go, people gift me sprinkle cookies, be it at book signings or when visiting Envy.” She added, “At Dolores’ [Catania’s Battle for Brooklyn baseball] games, everyone waves ‘Team Sprinkle’ [signs].”

Gorga dedicated nearly two years to find the perfect baking partner to ensure the best cookie. “It was crucial to create a cookie that people would exclaim, ‘That was the best butter cookie I’ve ever tasted, and I must have more!’,” she stated. “A lot of effort and revisions went into crafting the ideal cookie — and we’ve definitely achieved that.”

Looking ahead, the reality star has ambitious plans for growth: “I’m exploring [creating] a sprinkle cake and potentially a sprinkle cookie crumb cake,” and she intends for customers to personalize their orders: “We’ll offer various colors, so if you want sprinkle cookies for a baby shower, we’ll have pink and blue [available].”

Melissa’s husband, Joe Gorga, has already given his thumbs up. “Of course, he’s been indulging in Italian pastries for years, so he’s quite discerning,” the mother of three shared about Joe, 50, with whom she has Antonia, 18, Gino, 16, and Joey, 13. “He adores them and even asked, ‘What took you so long?’”

While RHONJ is currently on break, Melissa stays busy hosting the “On Display” podcast and managing both Envy locations in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and Huntington, New York. She is also organizing her annual Christmas Eve celebration. “It’s a huge event for me,” she disclosed. “Last year, I had Christmas carolers at the door, and Santa arrived with gifts for all the kids — I really go all out.”
