Patrick Mahomes Suggests He Might Be Open to Having a Fourth Baby with Wife Brittany

Patrick Mahomes is already contemplating the possibility of expanding his family just days after his wife, Brittany Mahomes, welcomed their third child.

During a press conference on Tuesday, January 14, Patrick, 29, was asked about the prospect of another child and responded, “[I’m] good with three [kids] for right now. My goal was always three, so we’ve had three. We’ll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on.”

However, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback did not dismiss the chance of having another baby with Brittany “down the line,” suggesting that it was “maybe” an option for them in the future.

Brittany, also 29, announced the birth of their daughter Golden on Monday, January 13. The couple also shares a daughter named Sterling, 3, and a son called Bronze, 2. Despite his recent comments, Patrick previously stated in July 2024 that he would be “done” after having three children.

“I said three and I’m done,” he told reporters at the Kansas City Chiefs training camp press conference that month. “I always wanted to have kids young. I grew up in a locker room, and it had a huge impact on my life. We’re now on our third child… Brittany does an amazing job, and we still find time to enjoy our lives.”

Brittany shared in July 2024 that her pregnancy with their third child proved to be “the hardest” she had faced due to “sickness, exhaustion, and skin” issues.

Having met in high school, Patrick and Brittany have been together through his rise to NFL fame since he was drafted to the Chiefs in 2017. After being engaged in 2020 following eight years of dating, the couple tied the knot in March 2022 and continues to emphasize the importance of a strong family foundation.

“Everyone sees the game days, but they don’t witness the everyday grind. They don’t know how you manage playing football while being a dad and a husband,” Patrick said in Netflix’s 2023 Quarterback docuseries. “It’s football. There will be highs and lows. You invest so much effort because you want to win, to succeed. And ultimately, you aim to secure that Super Bowl at the end of the year. But I also need to be a dad. I need to be a husband.”
