Savannah Guthrie Introduces ‘New Family Member’ in Holiday Card Today
Savannah Guthrie’s family of four is growing this holiday season.
In her 2024 Christmas card, the Today show coanchor, 52, announced that she, her husband, Michael Feldman, and their two children — Vale, 10, and Charley, 8 — have welcomed a fluffy “new family member.”
“So. Very. Merry!!” read the front of the card, which Guthrie shared on Instagram on Friday, December 13. “Sending all our love. Mike, Savannah, Vale, Charley and introducing …”
The back of the card revealed the family’s joy in adopting a puppy named Fetch Guthrie Feldman. “Mike, Savannah, Vale and Charley are thrilled to announce that this year, we made Fetch happen,” the card states, referencing a famous line from the 2004 film Mean Girls and cleverly playing on the puppy’s name. “Wishing the merriest of everything to all and blessings for 2025!”
On the back of the card, they included adorable photos of the family with their new little black pup. Guthrie and Feldman, 56, celebrated their new dog by wearing matching “I made fetch happen” T-shirts. Vale and Charley, in turn, wore shirts featuring their names intertwined with Fetch’s name, symbolized by a heart.
The family likely adopted Fetch earlier this month, as Guthrie shared a photo of Charley holding their puppy as the cover image for her son’s Instagram birthday tribute. “This phenomenal boy is 8 this sweet December 8th! Happy golden birthday, dearest Charley ❤️,” she captioned the post on December 8, alongside a montage of pictures and clips featuring Charley over the years.
Guthrie isn’t the only Today personality showcasing their 2024 Christmas card. Jenna Bush Hager’s holiday card features a traditional family photo on the front, but the back includes a humorous image of her family, including her husband, Henry Hager, and their kids — Mila, 11, Poppy, 9, and Hal, 5 — dressed as “olden times people.”
“Hal is a dinosaur or a dragon, and [we’re] just wishing you ‘hope ever after,’” Bush Hager, 43, explained on the December 9 episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna. After cohost Hoda Kotb commented on how they all looked “cranky,” Bush Hager quipped: “That’s our look, the pose we settled on, and everyone brought their best faces.”
Kotb, 60, opted for a more traditional holiday card this year, sending out photos of herself and her daughters Haley, 7, and Hope, 5, in front of the Rockefeller Plaza Christmas tree. (Kotb shares her two children with her ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman.)
The Today hosts have continued to embrace the festive spirit by attending a White House holiday press event earlier this month. Guthrie and Bush Hager each brought their eldest daughters to the occasion, while Today cohost Sheinelle Jones was accompanied by her eldest child, son Kayin, 15.
“A beautiful night for our kids that they won’t soon forget. Thank you @whitehouse 🇺🇸🎄❤️,” Guthrie captioned an Instagram slideshow on December 14, showcasing moments from their night out.
As the daughter of former President George W. Bush, Bush Hager expressed that it was “special” to see the White House experience through Mila’s eyes in her own Instagram post. “Thanks so much for hosting us, @potus! If you had told my 22-year-old self that I’d be back at the press party, I would have never believed it!” she shared on Saturday.
