Scheana Shay Ignites Controversy by Comparing Jesse Lally to Jax Taylor

Scheana Shay’s recent remarks are igniting discussions among fans of The Valley.

In a recent episode of Bravo’s reality series, Michelle Saniei shared insights about her relationship with estranged husband Jesse Lally. She pondered whether her situation with the father of her 5-year-old daughter, Isabella, is as challenging as Brittany Cartwright’s difficult relationship with estranged husband Jax Taylor.

Scheana, 40, thinks Michelle, 36, may have a valid perspective.

“The things I’ve witnessed her handle, the messages I’ve come across, and the emails I’ve seen,” Scheana stated during the Friday, June 20, episode of SiriusXM’s Reality Checked. “I can understand why [Michelle] would say, ‘I might have it worse than Brittany.’ We’ve followed this couple for a decade on the show, and everyone knows how difficult Jax is.”

While radio host Kiki Monique acknowledged the audience’s investment in Jax, 45, and Brittany’s evolving relationship, Scheana emphasized that multiple couples are facing challenges.

“You don’t see how challenging Jesse is because he always presents a charming facade, but you aren’t aware of who he truly is,” Scheana asserted. “I’ve witnessed it, and I’m not fond of what I observe.”

After viewing a clip from Scheana’s interview, The Valley star Kristen Doute defended Jesse in the comments section.

“It’s ABSURD for you to compare Jesse to Jax, @Scheana,” she commented. “ABSURD.”

In earlier episodes of The Valley, Scheana has shown her loyalty to her long-time friend Michelle. However, during her latest radio conversation, the Vanderpump Rules alum recounted an incident involving Michelle and her ex that particularly unsettled her.

“Right after [Michelle’s mom] passed away, it was election day, and Michelle desperately needed a day to grieve,” Scheana asserted. “It was her day with Isabella, and she requested Jesse, ‘Look, I know it’s my day, but I really need to grieve. Can you please take care of our daughter today? She just lost her grandma.’ He had an election party in Orange County and said, ‘No.’”

In response to Scheana’s comments, Jesse exclusively told Us Weekly that her statements are “completely false and easily disproven,” adding: “This isn’t about drama; it’s about the loss of our daughter’s grandmother. I have texts and emails that prove we were never at any party and that I did everything I could.”

Jesse has also dismissed claims made by Michelle on The Valley regarding his reaction to her mother’s declining health.

“Unfortunately, this is just another example of Michelle’s never-ending false narratives,” he told People on June 18. “All the facts were revealed at the reunion, and I hope the audience will finally see the truth.”

The Valley airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. You can stream past episodes anytime on Peacock.
