Taylor Frankie Paul’s Family Overview: Meet Her Exes and Three Children
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul surged to reality TV fame after being cast as ABC’s lead for season 22 of The Bachelorette, sparking interest about her life beyond the spotlight.
“And that’s a wrap,” Taylor, 31, shared on Instagram on December 20, 2025, announcing the completion of her season of The Bachelorette, set to debut in March 2026. “I’ve never experienced anything like this.”
She added, “I can’t wait to discuss all things [The Bachelorette], share my experiences, and showcase it all. I have such a passion for what goes into productions like this. I’m so grateful to be part of the Bachelor Nation family and crew. I saved the most authentic shot [her flipping the middle finger] for last. It’s going to be worth the wait; stay tuned for March.”
Before embarking on her journey in Bachelor Nation, Taylor was married to ex-husband Tate Paul and had a relationship with Dakota Mortensen. Keep reading to learn more about her family, including her three children.
Tate Paul
Taylor wed Tate in 2017, just a few years before they found themselves caught up in the Mormon MomTok soft swinging controversy in 2022.
During an interview on “The Viall Files” in 2024, Taylor described the situation as becoming “weird.”
“I was with another man, completely naked, ready to go all in while he was with my wife, and [Tate] was super drunk. He suddenly realized, ‘We can’t do this. What if someone gets pregnant? We don’t know who the dad is. This is not okay,’” Taylor recounted. “My husband suggested, ‘Maybe we should stop doing this with friends. Perhaps we could try it with strangers?’ It was clear that emotions were getting involved; jealousy was creeping in.”
The couple announced their divorce in June of that same year.
“I went on a TikTok live stream,” Taylor shared on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. “I wanted to clarify things for everyone. My husband wanted to share his perspective. He wanted to be open. I ended up developing feelings for a man my husband welcomed into our home.”
Indy May Paul
Taylor and Tate welcomed their first child, daughter Indy May, in August 2017.
“Indy May Paul officially arrived on August 31st, weighing 6lbs 9oz. She is perfection, and we are totally obsessed with our baby girl. 💗 We feel so blessed,” she announced on Instagram at the time, along with a photo of her and Tate.
Ocean Paul
The couple’s son Ocean joined the family in June 2020.
Taylor shared the pregnancy news on Instagram in December 2019, stating, “Walking into second trimester✨(my favorite trimester) baby Paul will be here June 2020! Thank you all for the kind words and support!”
Dakota Mortensen
Taylor first introduced her followers to Dakota in 2022, admitting he was the man she was involved with during the soft swinging scandal.
Their relationship has faced quite a few challenges. Taylor was arrested on domestic violence charges in 2023, though the charges were later dismissed. They also appeared on both seasons of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives while managing co-parenting their son, Ever. In 2025, Taylor disclosed on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that their relationship had ended.
“Did I love him? Absolutely. I had a baby with him,” she expressed. “I wanted to be with him, but it just didn’t work out.”
Ever True Mortensen
Taylor and Dakota welcomed their son Ever in March 2024.
“Ever True was born on March 19th, weighing 6lbs 15oz a week early, and we’ve had the best two weeks with him. We all love you so much, thank you for blending our family 🤍,” Taylor posted on Instagram at the time.
