The Current Relationship Between Denise Richards’ Daughters and Charlie Sheen
The dynamic between Denise Richards’ daughters and their father Charlie Sheen is quite “complicated.”
Richards, 54, shared exclusively with Us Weekly ahead of the Tuesday, March 4, launch of Denise Richards and Her Wild Things, “It’s been [complicated] from the start, and both girls are navigating their relationship in their own ways, which is perfectly fine. There are ups and downs, but you can always overcome the challenges.”
Richards was married to Sheen, 59, from 2002 to 2006, during which time they had two daughters: Sami, now 20, and Lola, 19. (Richards also adopted Eloise, 13, in 2011.)
While Sami explained that her relationship with Charlie is “complicated,” Lola noted that her bond with the Two and a Half Men star has strengthened over time.
“My life is so much better when we have a relationship because, otherwise, it’s tough to deal with the silence,” Lola remarked to Us. “Of course, there are highs and lows, but overall, our relationship is strong. During my struggles with mental health, he provided great support since he’s straightforward and not overly emotional, which has helped me through moments of anxiety.”
Lola mentioned that prior to strengthening her trust in Jesus, she was once a “very big hypochondriac.” Her father played a significant role in helping her cope with her anxieties, which greatly improved their relationship.
Charlie is set to make a notable guest appearance on the upcoming season of Denise Richards and Her Wild Things. Richards confessed that it required “some convincing” to have her ex join her on screen, but she values the opportunity to present her blended family’s reality to the audience.
“I believe many people will resonate with it,” she stated. “Navigating blended families can be challenging. It’s hard to be divorced under any circumstances, but each of us strives to maintain a positive and peaceful environment.”
Also making an appearance on the show will be Richards’ husband Aaron Phypers.
Since their marriage in September 2018, the couple previously appeared together when Richards was on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. When asked about joining another reality show, she noted that her husband was enthusiastic about the idea.

“Oh he’s incredibly supportive of whatever I choose to pursue, and I feel so fortunate,” she shared. “He’s amazing about it and said, ‘Whatever you decide, I’m here to back you up.’”
Denise Richards and Her Wild Things is set to premiere on Bravo on Tuesday, March 4, at 9 p.m. ET, with episodes available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
