The Hallmark Channel boasts a movie for every occasion, yet Easter is often one of the more overlooked holidays in its lineup.
“This marks the first Hallmark Easter movie ever!” Fiona Gubelmann shared in a behind-the-scenes feature from 2019’s Easter Under Wraps, where she portrayed Erin, the owner of a chocolate factory.
The film’s focus on candy was a fresh concept for Hallmark at that time, but its themes of chocolate, tradition, and family enjoyment struck a chord with the cast. Brendan Penny, who played chocolatier Bryan, remarked, “This is a fantastic spring film because spring signifies renewal.”
Fast forward four years, and Aimee Teegarden found her own Easter-themed project with the network, set to debut in 2024 as An Easter Bloom.
“I discovered many beautiful connections and relationships in the script among the characters, and it seemed like a delightful opportunity,” Teegarden shared exclusively with Us Weekly in March 2024 regarding her decision to join the cast.
She revealed that despite filming in Canada that January, viewers would be treated to a “lovely, spring-like, and stunning” backdrop that aligns perfectly with the Easter season.
