Victoria Beckham Shares New Family Photo During Brooklyn’s Drama
David and Victoria Beckham are showing solidarity with their family following recent allegations made by their eldest son, Brooklyn.
On Monday, January 26, Victoria, 51, took to Instagram to share a number of photos after receiving an honorary title from France’s Ministry of Culture.
Among the images, the fashion icon, dressed in black, posed with her husband, three of their four children — Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 14 — along with Romeo and Cruz’s partners, Kim Turnbull and Jackie Apostel.
The family smiled for the camera in front of an elegant backdrop featuring a chandelier and opulent decor at the French Ministry of Culture in Paris.
Victoria, Harper, Romeo, and Kim coordinated in black outfits, while David, 50, opted for a dark blue suit. Cruz spiced up his look with a blue cardigan over a white shirt and pink tie, and Jackie, 29, wore a long-sleeved cream top and skirt.
“I’m incredibly honored to be named a Chevalière de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture,” Victoria captioned her post. “I’ve always deeply appreciated the French aesthetic and how it views fashion as a form of art. To be acknowledged in this manner is a significant privilege — a reflection of years of hard work and dedication. My heartfelt thanks to the French Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati, for this honor.”
The former Spice Girl also expressed gratitude towards her family for their unwavering support.
“Thank you to my business partners who believed in me, my family, and especially David — my husband and original investor. I’m truly grateful, you mean everything to me xx,” she wrote.
In another part of the image collection, Victoria included photos with France’s Culture Minister Rachida Dati and friends like Anna Wintour.
Notably absent from the celebration were Brooklyn, 26, and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.
Just a week prior to the event, Brooklyn shared an extensive social media post revealing his distance from the family, which he stated has existed since before his wedding to Nicola in April 2022.
“I do not wish to reconcile with my family,” Brooklyn stated via his Instagram Story on January 19, adding, “I am standing up for myself for the first time.”
“Throughout my life, my parents have controlled the narrative in the media about our family,” Brooklyn claimed in his statement. “The performative posts on social media, family gatherings, and inauthentic relationships have been a constant in the life I was born into.”
“My family prioritizes public endorsements and promotions above all else,” he alleged. “Brand Beckham takes precedence. Family ‘love’ is defined by how much you share on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up for a family photo opportunity, even at the cost of our professional commitments.”
Brooklyn further accused his parents of trying to undermine his relationship with Nicola, alleging that Victoria “hijacked” their first dance.
“My mum interrupted my first dance with my wife, which was planned weeks ahead to a romantic song,” he wrote. “In front of our 500 wedding guests, [singer] Marc Anthony called me up for what was supposed to be my intimate dance with my wife, but instead my mum was there waiting to dance with me. She danced inappropriately in front of everyone, and I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated. We wanted to renew our vows to create joyful memories of our wedding day, not ones filled with anxiety and embarrassment.”
Neither David nor Victoria have publicly addressed Brooklyn’s allegations. Us Weekly has previously reached out to representatives for both David and Victoria for a comment.
