Yankees’ Aaron Judge and Wife Samantha Anticipating Their First Child: Report
New York Yankees star Aaron Judge is said to be preparing for fatherhood.
Page Six announced on Thursday, December 26, that the 32-year-old outfielder and his wife, Samantha Bracksieck, are expecting their first child — a baby girl. The couple, known for their privacy, have not yet publicly confirmed the news. (Us Weekly has reached out to Judge’s representatives and the Yankees for a statement.)
Judge and Bracksieck began their relationship while in high school, where they both attended Linden High School in California. After graduating in 2010, Judge embarked on his path to the major leagues. Reports indicate that the two reconnected in 2019, advancing their relationship to new heights.
Although they never announced an engagement officially, rumors swirled when Bracksieck was seen wearing what looked like an engagement ring in 2021. They exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Hawaii in December of that year.
Speculation around whether Judge was ready for this new chapter began in October. Observant fans noticed Bracksieck appearing to show a baby bump while attending the American League Championship Series. At one point, she was seen joining Judge on the field after the Yankees’ win against the Cleveland Guardians, as captured in now-deleted photos shared on X.
While Judge and Bracksieck tend to keep their relationship under wraps, they do make occasional public appearances together.
“We had a fantastic time out in LA for the All-Star break! Thank you to all the Yankee fans and everyone for making this year unforgettable! Looking forward to what’s next in the second half!” Judge wrote in a July 2022 Instagram post, offering a glimpse into his relationship.
In a 2022 interview, the MLB star noted that his wife played a significant role in securing his $360 million contract with the Yankees that same year.
“I was in California with Sam, and we were on our way to Hawaii to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had an early flight, so we were up around 2 or 3 a.m.,” Judge recounted during a July interview on the “Casa De Klub” podcast. “We discussed different offers from various teams, and I made it clear that I wanted to stay in New York.”
Bracksieck urged Judge to reach out to Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner.
“We made the call, and I laid out my wish, saying, ‘I want to be here and would appreciate it if you could add one more year to my contract. I’m not looking for anything extravagant; I just want to stay here and play for a long time,’” Judge recalled. He later discovered he would become the 16th captain of the Yankees.
