Stab 3, the horror sequel inspired by the Woodsboro murders, is currently facing some production challenges. While the script leaves much to be desired, the more pressing issue is that the cast is inexplicably meeting their demise. Ghostface has made the leap to Hollywood, and this time – whether it’s a he or she – is targeting the creators behind the Stab franchise for a specific purpose: to lure the elusive Sidney (Neve Campbell) out of seclusion. Ghostface achieves their goal, but they’ll have to contend with a final girl who has had enough of these horror antics. She’s determined to put an end to Ghostface once and for all, and the only way to accomplish that is by taking aim and pulling the trigger.

Scream 3 does not receive much affection from franchise enthusiasts. Often regarded as the weakest installment in the series, the threequel is surprisingly enjoyable despite its chaotic script. The shift in setting provides numerous opportunities for clever meta commentary on horror films, celebrity culture, and the filmmaking process, allowing Parker Posey’s pampered actress, Jennifer Jolie, to completely dominate the movie. While Scream 3 leans more towards humor than horror, giving it a chance reveals a fun, albeit imperfect, experience.
