Bridget Moynahan Shares Uncommon Photo of Her Son Jack with Tom Brady
Bridget Moynahan and Tom Brady’s son, John “Jack” Moynahan, bears a striking resemblance to his father in a rare photo shared on his mom’s Instagram.
On Wednesday, August 27, Bridget, 54, took to social media to post a selfie from her outing with Jack at the US Open. She smiled in the corner of the frame, donning glasses and a slicked-back hairstyle, while her 18-year-old son stood tall behind her, grinning in a blue short-sleeved polo shirt.
“Traditions at the @usopen 🎾,” Bridget wrote in her caption. “Thank you @emirates for hosting an incredible night of tennis. #usopen.”
Fans flooded the comments with love for the mother-son duo, highlighting how much Jack resembles both his dad, Brady, 48, and his mom.
“Definitely see Mom in him too. Very handsome young man,” observed one user, while another fan commented, “Love that!!! Such a handsome boy! Mama’s looks ❤️❤️❤️.”
“He looks like both of his parents to me… handsome young man – you’ve done an awesome job, mum!” wrote a third commenter.
Bridget and Brady dated from 2004 to 2006. After their split, Brady began a relationship with Gisele Bündchen, though they soon learned that Moynahan was pregnant with Brady’s child. (Brady and Bündchen, 45, married in 2009 and later welcomed children Benjamin, 15, and Vivian, 12. They divorced in 2022.)
“Two months into our relationship, Tom told me that his ex-girlfriend was pregnant. The very next day the news was everywhere, and I felt my world had been turned upside down,” Bündchen wrote in her October 2018 memoir, Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life.
Bridget gave birth to Jack in August 2007. Almost a year later, she spoke publicly about her separation from Brady.
“I’m not sure anyone — and I could be wrong in this — grows up thinking, ‘I want to be a single mom,’” she reflected at the time. “When you’re suddenly pregnant and no one is standing by your side, even if you’re in your 30s, it’s a hard conversation. I’m a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage, and I just always thought that’s the way I’d be doing this. For a moment, it was hard for me to accept that this was the way I was going to have a family.”
Bridget later addressed her blended family dynamics with Brady and Bündchen in a 2011 interview with More magazine.
“I have a relationship with these people on a daily basis. I’m raising a child, and it’s public,” she noted. “My son has two loving parents and an extended family, whether it’s cousins or stepmothers or boyfriends. My son is surrounded by love.”
Brady and Bridget have managed to maintain a healthy co-parenting relationship over the years, with a source telling Us Weekly in 2021 that things were “still going well” between the exes.
“Bridget’s someone who is friendly and easygoing and is known to be cordial with Tom and supportive of his career,” the source added.
Brady reaffirmed his amicable relationship with both Bridget and Bündchen when he paid tribute to the mothers of his children via Instagram in May.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms I’m so lucky to have in my life,” he expressed, sharing photos of his exes with their kids.
