3 Fantastic Peacock Movies to Binge-Watch This Weekend (September 12-14)
Peacock urgently needed to revamp its movie selection, and it received just that at the start of September.
Even if only a few more titles are added this month, Peacock now possesses enough must-see films to keep us entertained.
For this weekend, the Watch With Us team has curated three fantastic Peacock movies that you won’t want to miss.
Our picks feature one of the darkest comic-book adaptations, an exhilarating Western, and a classic action comedy that celebrates its 25th anniversary this December.
‘Brightburn’ (2019)
Director James Gunn had a blockbuster hit in summer 2025 with his Superman reboot, but he explored a similar narrative in 2019 that took a drastically different turn. Gunn produced Brightburn, directed by David Yarovesky. Here, everything that shapes Superman into a hero goes horribly awry.
When he turns 12, Brandon Breyer (Jackson A. Dunn) discovers that he is an alien from another planet, adopted by his caring parents, Tori (Elizabeth Banks) and Kyle Breyer (David Denman). This revelation drastically alters Brandon’s demeanor in unsettling ways. As he develops superhuman powers, Brandon’s detachment from humanity makes him exceedingly perilous to anyone who angers him.
Brightburn is available for streaming on Peacock.
‘Django Unchained’ (2012)
Quentin Tarantino‘s first venture into Western filmmaking, Django Unchained, became one of his most celebrated works. Jamie Foxx stars as Django, a slave liberated by bounty hunter King Schultz (Christoph Waltz). Set before the Civil War, Schultz takes Django under his wing, teaching him the art of bounty hunting.
Django’s sole desire is to reunite with his wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), who remains enslaved. Rescuing her from plantation owner Calvin J. Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio) proves challenging, especially with Candie’s confidant, Stephen (Samuel L. Jackson), potentially exposing their plan before they can negotiate for Broomhilda’s freedom.
Django Unchained is available for streaming on Peacock.
‘Miss Congeniality’ (2000)
Twenty-five years ago, Sandra Bullock starred in her iconic film, Miss Congeniality, portraying FBI agent Gracie Hart. When Gracie’s future with the Bureau is jeopardized, the Miss United States beauty pageant faces a credible domestic terrorism threat. Gracie proposes that an agent infiltrate the pageant to ensure its safety, never anticipating that she would be selected for the role.
Veteran actor Michael Caine co-stars as Victor Milling, a beauty pageant coach tasked with transforming Gracie’s tomboy image into a pageant persona. Against all odds, Gracie excels in the competition, but her success hinges on apprehending the bomber before their threat is fulfilled.
Miss Congeniality is available for streaming on Peacock.
