Cash Warren Praised His Marriage to Jessica Alba Just Months Before Their Split
Cash Warren offered insight into the elements that contributed to his marriage with Jessica Alba, just months before their rumored separation.
“Ultimately, the friendship and support—and knowing that your partner has your back—are everything to us,” Warren, 45, shared exclusively with Us Weekly in July 2024 while celebrating the 10th anniversary of Pair of Thieves. “I think the secret is just having each other’s backs. It’s hard work, but we roll up our sleeves and we do it. It’s wild—it’s the longest relationship I could have imagined.”
The pair, who have children Honor, 16, Haven, 13, and Hayes, 7, were together for 20 years and married for 16 before reportedly separating. They have not publicly addressed the status of their relationship.
To celebrate Hayes’ birthday on December 31, 2024, the couple enjoyed a family day at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Although family time has always been a priority for Warren and Alba, 43, they also sought to carve out time for date nights away from their kids.
“For us, it’s about getting out of the house and spending a night somewhere else,” Warren previously stated to Us. “Unplugging is essential. We love taking walks, chatting, and sharing good meals together. We have so many mutual interests, and what’s great is that we’re both willing to participate.”
Warren commended Alba for her “awesome spiritual journey,” which has included sound baths and exploring crystals.
“I’ll get my charts read,” he noted. “I learn about it alongside her, and she constantly introduces me to new concepts.”
Before the announcement of her split from Warren, Alba appeared on an April 2024 episode of Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt’s “BDA Baby” podcast. When asked about maintaining balance amid numerous responsibilities—while ensuring “your husband feels tended to”—Alba admitted it’s a challenge.
“If you’ve figured it out in your relationship, let me know,” she remarked. “I think [Cash] probably gets the short end of the stick… It’s tough. It’s nearly impossible.”
She encouraged listeners to communicate upfront when unhappy, addressing issues immediately rather than allowing them to fester.
“We definitely have the friendship and the comfort of knowing that ‘you’re not going anywhere,’” Alba continued. “Sometimes, you don’t treat those closest to you the best, right? You might not consider their feelings like you would for others. So that’s an ongoing effort.”
Amid all of Alba’s achievements, Warren has been a steadfast supporter.
After Alba stepped back from her role at the Honest Company in April 2024 to shift her focus to new projects, Warren expressed immense pride in her accomplishments.
“What she achieved with the Honest Company is incredible, and she’s still involved on the board. We’re clearly still an Honest household,” he told Us in July 2024. “I’m always amazed at how she stepped down so gracefully and transitioned back into acting, finding success immediately. It blows my mind. I’m just like, ‘How do you do that?!’”
