Jimmy Fallon Mistakes Jennifer Garner for a Job Applicant in Hilarious Cameo
Jennifer Garner made a delightful appearance on Jimmy Fallon‘s NBC show On Brand.
In a Us Weekly‘s exclusive clip from the episode airing on Friday, October 24, Fallon, 51, interviews a job candidate. “I’m going to be straightforward with you. I’ve known you for a long time and you’re amazing, but there are many others wanting to work at the On Brand agency,” he says, adding, “The phones are ringing off the hook — just not right now.”
Continuing the skit, Fallon expresses his uncertainty about the candidate. “Your resume is impressive and you’ve collaborated with numerous brands. I just don’t know if you’re the right fit,” he remarks before the camera cuts to Garner, 53.
The actress clarifies that she is “not here to apply for a job,” pointing out, “Jimmy, I’m here representing KitchenAid.” She reminds Jimmy that their next client is indeed KitchenAid.
“I have to go! They’re likely here,” he says. “Jen, you stay here and I’ll be right back.”
Garner appears puzzled as to why Fallon wouldn’t want her to come along. “Should I come with you? If you want to discuss KitchenAid, I should remain here?” she asks before making herself comfortable in the office.
On Brand, which debuted in September, is a reality competition series where 10 contestants work at the On Brand Agency to develop and pitch marketing campaigns for major brands, including Dunkin Donuts, Southwest Airlines, and KitchenAid. Marketing expert (and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star) Bozoma Saint John takes on the role of Chief Marketing Officer as contestants tackle challenges — with one finalist winning $100,000, a feature in Adweek, and more.
An earlier episode featured a cameo from Jimmy Kimmel, who interrupted Fallon as he informed contestants about their significant assignment for Captain Morgan’s Super Bowl campaign.
“Hello, eclectic group of creatives. This is thrilling, right? Two late-night Jimmys joining forces to guide you on an epic journey with Captain Morgan original spiced rum — something you’ve probably dreamed about your entire lives,” Kimmel, 57, said. “Jimmy and I have been pals for a long time, and we’ve established a tradition. Whenever our ratings tie, let’s collaborate.”
Fallon had to cut off half of his tie in sync with Kimmel before receiving compliments from his fellow late-night host.
“Jimmy and I are a lot like you. We’re compelled to compete against each other every night, and people think we’re rivals, but we’re not,” Kimmel commented. “To win the Captain Morgan account and a trip to the Super Bowl, you’ll need to collaborate as teams. May the best crew win.”
Kimmel joked with Fallon about what he had disclosed on the show, quipping, “Jimmy, I hope it’s okay. I told them about the secret family you have in Miami.”
On Brand With Jimmy Fallon airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, with episodes available for streaming the following day on Peacock.
