Every TV Show Featuring a Halloween Episode in 2025: Tracker and Shifting Gears
For TV enthusiasts eager for fresh Halloween content, Tracker, Shifting Gears, and NCIS are among the shows bringing both tricks and treats this season.
CBS has lined up several Halloween-themed episodes, featuring Ghosts, NCIS, Elsbeth, and Tracker. Us Weekly offered an exclusive first look at Elsbeth’s special episode, where Carrie Preston’s main character faces off against Sharon (Annaleigh Ashford), portrayed as a deadly suburban housewife.
“Elsbeth must distinguish between trick and treat in Sleepy Hollow as her rivalry culminates in a chilling showdown on Halloween night, involving a clash between a suburban housewife and a new neighbor,” according to the official synopsis. “In the meantime, Captain Wagner uncovers a frightening truth about his daughter.”
Ashford joins the growing list of guest stars on Elsbeth, which also includes William Jackson Harper, Julia Fox, and more.
“From the outset, we’ve strived to make Elsbeth a series where the finest actors want to guest star,” remarked showrunner Jonathan Tolins in a statement prior to the season 3 premiere. “Our success continues as we welcome Annaleigh Ashford and William Jackson Harper to our ensemble of talented guest stars who are ready to match wits with the remarkable Carrie Preston.”

‘High Potential’
The official synopsis reveals that the team “investigates a spooky case where a wealthy lawyer is found dead in his haunted Victorian mansion.” Steve Howey’s character, Captain Wagner, “impresses everyone with his abilities,” while Eliott mediates the situation between Morgan and Ava at home.
‘Shifting Gears’
This ABC sitcom features Matt (Tim Allen) as he “plans to spend Halloween with Eve, but the real fright begins when Eve wants to stay over.” The episode will include Carter (Maxwell Simkins) and Georgia (Barrett Margolis) going out for the night, while Kat Dennings’ Riley “invites Gabe and Stitch to a Halloween party, hoping to recreate the epic Halloweens of her youth.”
‘Abbott Elementary’
In the spirit of Halloween, Barbara (Sheryl Lee Ralph) “organizes a camping trip for older kids” at the school on this ABC series.
‘Ghosts’
You can’t have October without a spooky episode of Ghosts, and this time, Sam and Jay’s Halloween takes a spine-chilling turn when they accidentally awaken a mummy ghost.
‘NCIS’
The team will “be compelled to collaborate with Special Agent Sawyer on a case that takes a chilling turn” for Torres.
‘Elsbeth’
The central character embarks on a trip to Sleepy Hollow to explore a neighborhood rivalry that “devolves into danger” on Halloween night.
‘Tracker’
As per the synopsis, a nurse is found murdered and an arsonist vanishes from a psychiatric facility on Halloween, prompting Colter (Justin Hartley) to investigate.
