Jason Bateman Attends ‘Zootopia 2’ Premiere Red Carpet with His Daughters

Jason Bateman was joined by some special guests at the world premiere of his new animated feature, Zootopia 2.

On Thursday, November 13, Bateman, 56, walked the red carpet at El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles with his wife, Amanda Anka, and their daughters, Francesca, 19, and Maple, 13.

The actor, who reprises his role as the voice of fox detective Nick Wilde, coordinated his outfit with his family’s black attire. Anka, 56, chose a sheer lace outfit paired with black undergarments and strappy heels, while Francesca and Maple opted for more covered looks.

This marks the girls’ second public appearance this year, having previously attended the Black Rabbit premiere in Toronto in September. Prior to that, Bateman’s family was seen together at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2017.

Bateman has frequently expressed his love for the women in his life, tearing up while thanking them during his 2019 SAG Award acceptance speech for Ozark.

“I want to specifically thank my wife and my two daughters — Amanda, Franny, and Maple — without you, none of this would be enjoyable and it likely wouldn’t be possible,” Bateman stated. “I love you more than I even express, and I’ll be home for kisses, so don’t go to bed. Amanda, pop a mint; I’ll be there in about five minutes.”

Regarding the sequel to the immensely successful Zootopia, Bateman is delighted to return to Disney alongside co-stars Ginnifer Goodwin, Idris Elba, and Shakira.

“I’m thrilled to be part of another Disney animated film,” Bateman expressed on the red carpet Thursday. “These productions are incredibly well-made, they’re monumental. I think there are 700 people on the crew? I’ve never participated in something this large. It’s truly an honor.”

Bateman also mentioned how “kind, warm, and supportive” Disney has been as he returns to voice acting.

“I’m a bit clueless on this voiceover stuff,” he joked. “They guide me a lot.”

Zootopia 2, set to hit theaters on November 26, follows Judy Hopps (Goodwin) and Nick Wilde as they go undercover to investigate Zootopia’s new and enigmatic reptilian resident, Gary De’Snake (Ke Huy Quan).

“I love this film,” Goodwin, 47, shared with the press. “I adore the first one, and I adore the sequel. My husband [Josh Dallas] insists the sequel is better; I refuse to choose between my children.”
