Why Miguel Harichi from Love Island USA Refers to Leah Kateb as ‘My Wife’
Love Island USA’s Miguel Harichi is still madly in love with his girlfriend Leah Kateb.
“Everything is going exceptionally well. There’s never a dull moment for us,” Harichi, 27, shared exclusively with Us Weekly while attending the launch event for Innisfree’s latest skincare products on Tuesday, December 10. “Our relationship is evolving beautifully. My love for her grows deeper every day.”
Whether they’re taking trips to Las Vegas or enjoying cozy time at Kateb’s home in Los Angeles, the couple keeps sharing their love journey on social media.
Many fans have even spotted Harichi affectionately referring to his girlfriend as “my wife” in some of his TikTok videos.
“Legally, she’s not my wife,” he explained to Us at Cassetta in Beverly Hills, California. “We haven’t tied the knot yet, but I consider her my wife. When I date, I date with marriage in mind. I don’t look for short-term relationships. Although we’re not married, I see her as my partner, my better half, my wife. It’s just my way of honoring her as my queen, my princess.”
Harichi, originally from England, first met Kateb, 25, while filming season 6 of Love Island USA. During the season finale in July, the couple promised to continue their relationship away from the cameras.
By 2025, Harichi aims to make Los Angeles his permanent home once his visa application is finalized.
“I know people are wondering, ‘How has this lasted so long?’ I actually have a six-month work visa,” he clarified to Us. “I’ll be heading back to the U.K. to renew and extend it. My plan is to move out here. That’s my goal.”
In the meantime, Harichi is busy creating memorable experiences with Kateb. When they’re not out exploring Los Angeles, the couple enjoys quiet dinners or lounging together in bed.
“We can easily spend an entire day in the bedroom doing absolutely nothing,” Harichi quipped, “and somehow we always find a way to entertain each other.”
Amid all the excitement, skincare continues to be important for the reality star. This week, Harichi helped celebrate the launch of Innisfree’s Green Tea Enzyme Vitamin C Brightening Toner Pads. Available starting Wednesday, December 18, this product promises to gently exfoliate, soothe, and hydrate the skin in a single step.
“I can definitely say that Innisfree’s products are lightweight and non-greasy,” Harichi shared with Us. “That’s something I’ve struggled with because, while I wouldn’t call my skin oily, the wrong products can leave it greasy. Innisfree is light, clean, and low in oil. Their products truly help.”
Love Island USA season 6 is currently streaming on Peacock.
