Kelly Osbourne Responds to Weight Criticism: ‘My Father Just Passed Away’
Kelly Osbourne responded forcefully to critics targeting her looks.
“I’m just going to say it as it is,” Kelly, 41, stated in a video posted during her mom Sharon Osbourne’s segment on Piers Morgan Uncensored on Wednesday, December 10. “To those who think they’re being funny with comments like ‘Are you ill?,’ or ‘Get off Ozempic,’ [or] ‘You don’t look right,’ here’s my message.”
In the interview, Morgan, 60, talked with Sharon, 73, about the passing of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne. He later highlighted the online backlash Kelly faces regarding her appearance, eventually sharing her empowering video.
“My dad just passed away, and I’m doing my best. The only thing I have to focus on right now is my family,” Kelly added in the video. “I choose to share the joyful moments of my life, not the painful ones.”
“So to all those people, f*** off,” she stated emphatically.
Morgan later inquired about Sharon’s opinion on Kelly’s remarks, to which she affirmed, “She’s right, you know. She’s absolutely correct. She can’t eat right now.” Adding, “[Online hate] serves as a shield for those who are unhappy.”
Ozzy passed away in July at the age of 76 after battling Parkinson’s disease.
“It is with a sorrow deeper than words can express that we announce the passing of our beloved Ozzy Osbourne this morning,” the family stated at the time. “He was surrounded by family and love. We ask for privacy for our family during this time.”

Kelly has previously discussed her significant weight loss journey, revealing in 2020 that she shed 85 pounds after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery in 2018.
“I ignore the negativity. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If they believe I’ve had plastic surgery, I must be looking good!” she told Us Weekly in October 2024 regarding critics scrutinizing her. “But the hurtful three-letter words get to you, like when someone calls you fat or when they say, ‘She’s on Ozempic.’ I’ve never taken Ozempic! I had weight loss surgery, so know the facts.”
Kelly further stated, “It’s tough for people when they see someone struggle with weight loss, and when they manage it, others can get resentful, thinking, ‘Who does she think she is now?’”
She also mentioned her support for those using Ozempic for “medical purposes,” but cautioned that it can be “dangerous in the wrong hands.”
“I don’t extensively work out, but I do walk,” she shared with Us. “It’s about making the healthiest choices in the moment, although sometimes I falter. But when I do, I make sure to get back on track.”
