Amanda Batula Goes Skinny-Dipping with Summer House Newcomer Ben in Italy

Amanda Batula and new arrival Ben Waddell stirred up intrigue during the Summer House season 10 premiere by sharing details about their risqué connection.

“We met at a wedding in Italy last year,” Ben, 38, shared with his fellow housemates about his relationship with Amanda, 34, and her then-husband Kyle Cooke, during the episode airing on Tuesday, February 3. (Amanda and Kyle, 43, announced in January that they had separated after four years of marriage, shortly after filming season 10.)

Ben, an Australian native, noted that it was “just us two, basically,” while he chuckled nervously, referring to himself and Amanda.

Amanda joined in the laughter while rummaging through the fridge, hinting that something spicy might have happened between them in Europe. Kyle, standing next to Ben, wore a playful expression as he continued to recount their initial encounter.

“We were up. Yeah, we stayed up,” Ben said, coyly hinting at what happened during their initial meeting. Amanda chimed, “It was great,” to which Ben added, “We had a good time.”

West Wilson then asked what everyone around the kitchen was eager to know: “Did you guys go to an orgy or something?”

Fellow newcomer Bailey Taylor shot back, “It certainly sounds like it.”

Amanda then finally revealed the mystery behind her and Ben’s meet-cute, telling the cameras, “Ben and I met at my best friend’s wedding in Italy while we were skinny-dipping.”

Amanda chuckled awkwardly during her confessional, pondering, “How do I explain this?” before divulging, “We ended up, me, the bride, and Ben skinny-dipping in the pool while Kyle was walking around the pool with a speaker blasting music.”

Amanda cheekily remarked, “We got to know each other very well at that point—fully nude.”

Back in the kitchen, Jesse Solomon was visibly shocked by the skinny-dipping revelation. “You’ve seen Amanda’s boobs?” he exclaimed in disbelief. “I’ve never even seen them!”

Amanda jokingly responded, “It’s that European water,” as she smiled back at the group.

West, 31, shook his head in disbelief, while Jesse, 32, laughed again. Meanwhile, Ben smiled from his spot at the kitchen island.

While Kyle appeared unfazed by Amanda and Ben’s intimate backstory, the notion of his then-wife being nude around another man seemed to unsettle him later in the episode.

During the group’s first summer party— themed “County Fair” and hosted by West— things escalated into a fight between the couple.

As the party wound down, most of the housemates jumped into the pool after playfully hitting each other with dessert pies.

Amanda joined them but not before removing her clothes down to a nude-colored bra and underwear.

“Wait! Amanda is naked,” exclaimed West as the bathing suit designer approached the pool. “Your chest is so exposed; it’s wild,” he noted as Amanda made her way into the deep end.

When Ben handed Amanda a towel as she exited the water, Kyle, in his red, white, and blue trunks, noticed how little she was wearing.

“Amanda, did you go naked?” Kyle asked, clearly upset.

“No, I have clothes on,” she clarified.

Kyle labeled Amanda’s behavior as “absurd,” while she questioned if he was “mad” at her for the incident.

“It would’ve been more fun if you had told me you were getting naked,” Kyle suggested, to which Amanda pointed out they were “all in the pool together.”

Jesse attempted to lighten the mood, saying, “Kyle, you could get naked too!”

Amanda was still processing Kyle’s earlier comment, asking, “I had to tell you?” and seemed genuinely confused by the situation.

“You were the one topless,” Kyle remarked. Amanda shot back, “I’m not topless.” However, Kyle ignored her and left for the house, muttering under his breath, “Just unbelievable.”

In the preview for the remainder of the season, Kyle and Amanda’s marital problems remain a key focus, and Amanda’s bond with Ben appears to complicate matters further.

In one clip from the trailer, Amanda is shown tenderly running her fingers through Ben’s hair as they engage in conversation in her and Kyle’s room.

“Amanda can light up any room with her smile,” Ben comments in the video, prompting Amanda to beam at him from across the dining table.

Ben’s words trigger Bailey to quip, “Ben definitely wants to sleep with you!”
