Below Deck’s Ellie Poses Surprising Sexual Question About Squirting
Below Deck Down Under newcomer Ellie Dubaich attempted to connect with the crew by posing a surprising sexual question.
In the episode aired on Monday, March 2, Ellie quickly joined the crew for dinner but swiftly shifted the conversation.
“This is boring,” she remarked. “Let’s really get to know one another. Ladies, this question is for you. How many squirters do we have here?”
Stew Jenna Woudberg and deckhand Betul Yazici appeared particularly uncomfortable with the question.
“She just got here. I want to know about your experiences,” Betul said in a confessional. “Where have you been? What were you doing? Where did you come from?”
Before entering season 4 of Below Deck Down Under, Ellie had a stint on Below Deck Med, getting entangled in a love triangle with Joe Bradley and Bri Muller. In the aired season 9, Bri and Ellie initially formed a friendship, though tension arose due to their mutual interest in lead deckhand Joe.
Ellie wasn’t pleased to find out that Bri and Joe shared a kiss during a crew outing, and their relationship never fully recovered from this incident. Their personal struggles impacted their work, leading Ellie to accuse Bri of attempting to undermine her, which nearly resulted in both being fired by Captain Sandy Yawn.
“You don’t understand how much anger and rage I had inside of my body,” Bri exclusively shared with Us in July 2024 after facing potential dismissal due to her conflict with Ellie. “I was like, ‘If I’m going down, she’s going down with me.’”
Bri commented that the tension continued, saying, “I’m just going to say it’s going to be a whole load of ups and downs — a really hectic roller-coaster ride. I think everyone should just buckle up and keep watching.”
Ellie, for her part, admitted her perspective on the issues evolved over time.
“There was some miscommunication initially because Bri was interested in him — but she never made that clear to me,” she explained to Us in June 2024. “I felt I was more transparent about my feelings in our discussions.”
After facing backlash from viewers of Below Deck Mediterranean, Ellie publicly apologized to Bri, stating on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in August 2024, “To sum it up, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect on my actions, and I’m actually glad to have had this opportunity to see myself through someone else’s perspective.”
Ellie noted that her views on her behavior have shifted, saying, “In our daily lives, we can sometimes come off as the antagonist in someone else’s narrative. I was the villain in Bri’s story, and I genuinely regret that. I should have behaved professionally, set my emotions aside, and helped her feel empowered.”
Following the start of season 9, Ellie expressed some regrets she wished to share.
“I’ve realized that we can be the villain in another person’s story. I was who I was in Bri’s experience, and I sincerely regret that,” she reflected. “I should have acted more professionally, pushed my feelings aside, and supported her in finding her own strength.”
Below Deck Down Under airs on Bravo on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET, with new episodes available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
