Influencer Veruca Salt Announces Pregnancy Years After the Loss of Her Son
Australian influencer Veruca Salt is thrilled to announce she is expecting her second child, almost three years after the heartbreaking loss of her infant son Cash.
On Wednesday, March 11, Salt, 27, shared a TikTok video in which she revealed her pregnancy test results.
Upon discovering a positive result, Salt playfully gasped but quickly added, “I’m just pretending for the video. I’ve actually known for a while.”
In a subsequent video, she confessed that her pregnancy feelings were a bit “overwhelming.”
“Last year, I was actively trying to get pregnant, but this year, I came to terms with it,” she explained. “I thought, ‘I’ll let the universe know that I don’t want a baby, focus on myself, and have some fun.’ So, I went out and partied for two months, started birth control, and boom, here I am—pregnant.”
Salt was married to an unidentified man in November 2025, shortly after they met, but divorced just weeks later, in December 2025. She confirmed on Wednesday that her ex-husband is not the father of her upcoming child. (She did not disclose the baby’s paternity.)
“To be clear, my ex-husband is not the father,” she mentioned in another TikTok clip. “Just need to make that very clear. If he were, I’d be at the clinic. I’m about six weeks along, and I haven’t been with him since December 3 or 4; I can’t recall.”
Salt humorously added that she feels “safe” from becoming her now-ex’s “baby mama.”
This marks Salt’s second child. She previously welcomed son Cash in 2023, but he tragically passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
“It has been the most devastating experience of my life,” Salt shared with Rolling Stone in May 2024 regarding her son’s passing. “I seek closure, but I know I may never have it. It’s unfair when others act as if I did something wrong or try to fill in the blanks; they can scroll past in seconds while I face this reality every moment. This will be my life forever.”
Salt has continued to celebrate the memory of her late son through social media after his passing.
“I’m entitled to share my baby’s story just like everyone else. My son’s life was brief, and he didn’t get the opportunity to make a mark on the world,” she expressed to the outlet. “These short clips of him are the only legacy he’ll leave behind. Despite some people’s twisted reactions, it means a lot to me to have millions remember my son.”
