Emily Osment Discusses Age Gap with Montana Jordan
Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage revolves around an age-gap romance — but do stars Emily Osment and Montana Jordan feel the years that separate them?
“Not really, to be honest,” Osment, 34, shared exclusively with Us Weekly at CBS Fest on Wednesday, April 15. “There are a few TV shows he isn’t familiar with, but aside from that, it’s not much.”
Osment highlighted that her onscreen husband displays maturity — plus, he’s already a dad at 23. While looking forward to the latter part of season 2, Osment teased the potential direction of Georgie and Mandy’s relationship.
“They really love each other. There’s no question about it,” she remarked. “And it’s evident that they share strong chemistry, which makes you root for their success. We’re all hopeful that the first marriage measures up to the second and third [marriages].”
Viewers first met Georgie and Mandy on The Big Bang Theory prequel series, Young Sheldon, which aired from 2017 to 2024. For The Big Bang Theory fans, it’s noted that Georgie has been married multiple times. This has raised concerns among fans cheering for Georgie and Mandy, but Osment urged them not to lose hope.
“Personally, I hope it takes them a long time to reach that point,” Osment told Us in December 2025 regarding her hopes for the hit CBS show. “Given the title, everyone knows it’s coming eventually — and it keeps the audience engaged a little longer.”
Osment prefers a slow build-up, adding, “For me, I’d like to see it develop before any breakup occurs.”
Though she is “worried” about the fictional couple’s future, Osment opted to remain positive, saying, “I say this with no knowledge at all. We receive scripts about 12 hours before we read them at the table, so we’re always in the dark about what’s next.”
Osment acknowledged that Georgie and Mandy’s age gap might impact their marriage’s stability. “We might assume that the age difference could be a factor. There are probably many reasons,” she noted.
The actress praised the sitcom for depicting realistic stories about the challenges and triumphs couples face in their marriages.
“It could be anything, but I have a feeling it may relate to him possibly becoming the tire king of Texas,” she added. “From The Big Bang Theory, we know he’s essentially the most successful tire guy. When someone achieves great success in their career, it can sometimes affect their personal life.”
