Euphoria Season 3 Cast: Introducing Darrell Britt-Gibson and Rosalia

Season 3 of Euphoria is set to expand, welcoming back Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and other original stars — along with newcomers like Rosalía, Darrell Britt-Gibson, and Toby Wallace.

Debuting in 2019, Euphoria originally centered around troubled high school student Rue (Zendaya), navigating her struggle to stay sober post-rehab. The acclaimed HBO series was renewed for a second season shortly after its premiere, yet it took almost three years for the following episodes to be released.

Season 3 was initially scheduled to air on HBO in 2025, but encountered several hurdles, including creator Sam Levinson’s obligations to his short-lived series The Idol. The simultaneous WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes in late 2023 further contributed to the delay.

Since the conclusion of season 2, the cast experienced the loss of Angus Cloud, who passed away at 25 in July 2023 due to an accidental overdose. The show is anticipated to address the circumstances surrounding his character, Fezco. Eric Dane‘s character Cal appeared in the trailer shortly after the actor’s death from ALS at age 53.

“Some people wonder why there was such a long gap between seasons 2 and 3. There were clear reasons — the strikes, coordinating schedules with our highly sought-after cast, but the most significant challenge was figuring out how to honor those we lost,” Levinson expressed at the season 3 premiere in April 2026.

He added: “Angus’s passing was incredibly difficult. I cared for him deeply and fought hard for his recovery. In the year of his death, 2023, he was among 73,000 individuals in America who succumbed to a fentanyl overdose. The experience taught me much, but the key realization was that death imbues life with meaning. We must confront the reality that life is an awe-inspiring gift and a profound blessing.”

Levinson elaborated on how the show intends to tribute his character on screen.

“There are numerous scenes where characters are either speaking to him on the phone,” he told Variety when discussing Fez’s continuation in the storyline. “I thought that if I couldn’t keep him alive in real life, perhaps I could do so within this narrative that I control. The intent was to honor him, and I’m excited for you all to see the final episodes. I believe he would enjoy his storyline.”
