Jelly Roll Honors Daughter Bailee on Her Prom Queen Achievement
Jelly Roll is marking a significant moment in his daughter Bailee Ann’s life.
“My little angel is the Prom Queen,” Jelly Roll, 41, shared on his Instagram Story on Saturday, May 2, celebrating his daughter’s achievement.
The image features Bailee beaming in a strapless teal gown, adorned with a white sash that reads “Prom Royalty” and a blue sash stating “Prom Queen.” She completed her look with a crown and held a red rose.
In another Instagram update, Jelly Roll and his wife Bunnie Xo posed proudly behind Bailee as she sat elegantly. A clip showcased the trio in their prom attire, lip-syncing to Reba McEntire’s “Fancy.”
“You know we had to represent 🩷,” Bunnie Xo, 46, captioned the shared post, to which Jelly Roll enthusiastically responded, “Let’s goooooo biscuit.”
Jelly Roll welcomed Bailee with ex-girlfriend Felicia in 2008, during his time serving a prison sentence for a drug-related conviction.
“A guard knocks on my cell door in the middle of the afternoon during lockdown. He says, ‘You had a kid today,’” he shared with Billboard in June 2023. “I’ve never had a reason to change in life as strong as that moment. I needed to figure it out right then and there.”
He became a father for the second time in August 2016 when son Noah Buddy was born to his ex Melisa.
“God bless this child to be everything I am not! Noah Buddy DeFord!” he expressed via Facebook at that time. “I pray neither he nor Bailee ever suffer due to their father’s past. I’ll share more photos tomorrow.”
This same month, Jelly Roll wed Bunnie Xo at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. The couple has been open about their journey with in vitro fertilization as they aim to expand their family.
“A couple of months ago, we discussed IVF,” Bunnie Xo mentioned on her “Dumb Blonde” podcast in 2024. “I feel like I’ve accomplished so much in my life, and the only thing left is to raise a baby and garden. I’m in my baby mama [and] gardening phase.”
She added, “J was like… ‘I’d love to have a baby with you.’ I was surprised because that wasn’t what I expected him to say. I asked him if he had always felt that way. He replied, ‘Yeah, I’d always want to have a baby with you. If you want to, great. If not, that’s fine too.’ Now he’s really excited about it.”
