Nicole Kidman’s Daughter Joins Met Gala Despite Age Restrictions

Nicole Kidman’s daughter made history as the youngest guest at the 2026 Met Gala.

Sunday Rose, whom Kidman, 58, shares with ex-husband Keith Urban, enjoyed a special moment at the 2026 Met Gala held on Monday, May 4. The event, themed “Costume Art” with a “Fashion Is Art” dress code, welcomed Sunday as Kidman’s plus one at just 17 years old. Although the Met Gala typically has an 18+ age requirement, it appears the rules were relaxed for Sunday, who accompanied her mom, serving as a co-chair.

On the red carpet, Sunday and Kidman discussed her outfit with Vogue, expressing her desire to “blossom.”

“I have a springtime, blossoming girl right here!” Kidman exclaimed about her daughter.

When asked about her attire, Sunday mentioned that her pink, floral ensemble was particularly “special” to her.

“Mine is really special to me because I kinda wanted to symbolize something blooming — it’s my first Met,” she said. “Blooming into something.”

Kidman then added that Sunday has been “so calm” throughout the day. “She has to be in school tomorrow morning,” she joked. “She’ll be in school by 8 a.m.”

For her Met debut, Sunday looked stylish in a pink beaded dress with a strapless neckline and a flowing column skirt embellished with similar floral designs.

She completed her look with striking floral earrings and light pink eyeshadow. Her brown hair was styled straight and parted in the middle.

Kidman, on the other hand, captured attention in a stunning red sequin dress by Chanel, accented with a plume peplum waist. Like her daughter, Kidman chose to wear her blonde hair down and straight.

Her makeup complemented her outfit beautifully, featuring soft peach eyeshadow, long lashes, glowing skin, and pink lips.
