Shailene Woodley’s Stylist Responds to Critics Following the Emmys
Shailene Woodley’s stylist Karla Welch is responding to the unflattering remarks about the actress’ outfit from the 2026 Emmys.
“It’s perfectly fine to love or hate something — it’s just an opinion,” Welch, 52, stated on Instagram Threads on Tuesday, September 15. “While opinions can spark conversations, being overly rude and delighting in negativity reflects more on those delivering the remarks. 🖤.”
Fans of Welch quickly rallied to support both her and the Big Little Lies actress in the comments.
“The essence of fashion is to experiment and be adventurous — something many are too afraid to do! Most importantly, she looked genuinely happy and comfortable, enjoying herself and embodying her best self!” one commenter wrote, which Welch “liked.” Another chimed in, “She looked incredible!”
For the biggest night in television, Woodley donned a blue Balenciaga top with a low scoop neckline, complemented by dazzling wide-leg pants. She styled this look with maroon leather gloves and a rainbow stone necklace.
For her glam, she opted for soft makeup, including bronzed cheeks, light mascara, and a pink lip, enhancing her dewy complexion and well-groomed brows. Her brunette hair was styled in a middle part and secured in a low ponytail that framed her face.
