Kyle Cooke Fuels Summer House Exit Speculation with Mysterious Post

Kyle Cooke recently clarified his status on Summer House following a cryptic social media post that stirred speculation among fans.

“This marks the end of Season 10 and a decade with this show as I know it,” Kyle, 43, explained via an updated Instagram post on Thursday, June 18, accompanied by a slideshow from his last day filming the season. “The show isn’t cancelled, nor am I announcing my departure. I was feeling emotional and intended to share the cover photo because it genuinely felt like the conclusion of an era, which is why many were emotional while saying their farewells during the finale. Sorry everyone!”

Initially, his Instagram post celebrating the end of Summer House Season 10 was perceived by several fans as a hint that Kyle might be leaving the show.

“End of an era,” Kyle wrote in his original message. “It was tough to force a smile in this photo with my producers. As usual, I was the last to vacate the house when we finished because I carry so much gear out. However, this year felt different. Ten seasons completed. A new show [In the City] is coming soon. And it’s a sad way to wrap up an incredible journey.”

The Summer House veteran continued, “I’m tearing up as I write this because we’ve truly become a family while filming this show, and departing this house for the last time was heart-wrenching. I’m so grateful to these four (and the rest of the crew) for sacrificing their summer to make everything happen.”

“I believe we can finally close this chapter (but don’t be surprised if I share some throwbacks that reflect happier times than me driving home alone while filming the crossover),” Kyle concluded. “Finally, thank you to the fans for your belief in this show and your support over the past decade.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Bravo for comments.

While Kyle’s post left fans puzzled, the iconic seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion featured in Summer House was listed for sale at $5 million in March. The real estate listing capitalized on the property’s Summer House allure, highlighting its “elegant millwork, stunning hardwood floors, and effortless indoor-outdoor flow, ideal for summer entertaining.”

Speculation regarding Kyle’s future in the Bravo series also arose following Us‘s report that West Wilson would depart Summer House after Season 10 amid his controversial relationship with Kyle’s estranged wife, Amanda Batula.

“It was a mutual decision among the network and West,” a source disclosed exclusively to Us earlier this month. “[It felt] like his time on the show was naturally concluding [before the contentious Season 10 reunion].”

Kyle and Amanda, 34, publicly announced their separation after four years of marriage in January. Two months later, Amanda confirmed she was in a relationship with West, 31, despite previously denying any romance.

Kyle, along with Ciara Miller and the rest of the Summer House crew, confronted Amanda about her relationship timeline with West during an exhilarating three-part Season 10 reunion and a special Aftermath episode that aired on Tuesday, June 16.

The events leading to Kyle and Amanda’s January separation are currently unfolding on the spinoff show In the City. They were spotted appearing friendly at the premiere of In the City Season 1 in New York City in May, though Kyle quickly provided context for their behavior.

Amanda Batula’s new romantic involvement with Summer House costar West Wilson has caused quite a stir among the cast. “It’s just a lot to digest,” Kyle remarked in a TikTok interview with Adam Glyn on April 1. “It affects not only me, Amanda, and West but also our entire friend group. …”

“Yes, Amanda and I took a picture together,” he clarified to his Instagram followers on May 19. “I was just glad she showed up since she almost didn’t attend a show she was part of. But let’s not label my life, relationship, or marriage, which has gone through significant changes, as fake.”

He elaborated, “Respectfully, we’re all adults, and we all made it to a premiere party. Yes, Amanda initially hesitated, but I persuaded her to come, and we snapped a photo together. Time to mature, folks.”

Summer House and In the City are both airing on Bravo.
