Dara Levitan from Summer House Confirms Breakup with KJ Dillard
Summer House’s Dara Levitan is currently single, but she may not be quite ready to date following her breakup with costar KJ Dillard.
“Do you want to know what’s bothering me? Well, I’m single,” Dara, 33, revealed on the Thursday, June 18, episode of her “Five More Minutes” podcast as shared by Bravo and Cocktails. “That’s all I’ll say on that because I really can’t get into it without tearing up this morning.”
KJ, 28, and Dara sparked a romance during the summer of 2025 while filming season 10 of the Bravo reality series. They were introduced through mutual friend and castmate West Wilson.
Before the couple publicly confirmed their breakup, costar Jesse Solomon inadvertently revealed the news on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen earlier this month.
“They broke up, yes,” Jesse, 33, stated on the June 9 episode when asked about the unfollowing on social media between KJ and Dara. “Last I heard, they were no longer together. Sorry if that wasn’t public information.”
In her latest podcast episode with cohost Carly Rivlin, Dara explored the topic of dating alongside guest and skincare expert Sean Garrette.
While Dara admitted she has “no idea what I’m doing regarding men and love,” the Bravo star shared her thoughts on dating apps and trends just in time for summer.
When asked about the topic of casual hookups and makeup choices, Dara laughed, admitting it’s been a while since she’s had to make that decision.
“It’s been quite some time since I’ve had a casual encounter, so let’s check back in 90 days to see if I’m talking to anyone,” she joked.
Dara added, “I find myself attracted to them against my will, but I don’t really like them.”
Summer House fans witnessed the rollercoaster of emotions in Dara and KJ’s relationship, which featured several highs and lows.
During an appearance on the June 2 episode of the “More Life With Carl Radke” podcast, KJ disclosed that he and Dara briefly separated after filming wrapped for Summer House season 10 while he was facing mental health challenges. (KJ was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder late last year after a hospitalization for self-harm.)
He explained that Dara “ended the relationship” “because she had to.”
“I think Dara was willing to stick around, but that wouldn’t have benefited either of us,” KJ mentioned. “I needed time because after my hospitalization, I went into recovery… and that’s when we parted ways. In hindsight, if Dara and I had been together during my recovery, it would have been chaotic. I would have focused more on the relationship than on my health. Recovery was transformative for me.”
