Larry the Cable Guy Provides Health Update Following Hospital Stay
Larry the Cable Guy was admitted to the hospital due to a health issue, resulting in a halt in production for his upcoming TV show.
The 63-year-old comedian had to stop filming American Mayhem after being diagnosed with appendicitis. He was released from the hospital on Saturday, July 25, as confirmed by a statement.
“I can confirm that Larry was hospitalized with appendicitis,” a spokesperson informed the Daily Mail. “He was discharged today and is on the mend. He’s in good spirits and feeling much better.”
Larry shared his own update via X on Sunday, July 26.
“Getting a lot of messages so just to let ya know I’m all good,” he stated. “I had severe stomach pain and it turned out I had appendicitis.”
He added: “It was removed, and after 2 days in the hospital, I’m home and recuperating. I’m a bit sore but my vitals are good; my butt looks fantastic, and now I’m just taking it easy…”
Prior to his surgery, Larry the Cable Guy was busy filming episodes for his CBS series, American Mayhem. A press release indicates that the 52-episode series is set to premiere this fall.
The “high-energy clip show” will showcase “the wildest, funniest, and most outrageous moments captured on camera across the U.S., presented by the beloved funnyman whose iconic voice and humor have made him a household name.”
“We live in the United States of America — if someone doesn’t like your act, then don’t see that person’s act. It’s as simple as that,” he exclusively told Us.
Larry the Cable Guy mentioned that he doesn’t “worry about it” when performing in a “woke” America.
“I’ve already got a solid following and some amazing fans,” he remarked. “If I find something funny, I’m going to use it and see where it leads. If you let it affect you, it’ll be tough.”
He further emphasized that comedy is a matter of personal taste, stating, “That’s the key right there. If you don’t like it, it’s like soda. Find the one you enjoy and don’t complain about the rest.”
