Chicago P.D.’s Tracy Spiridakos Hints at Second Halstead-Upton Wedding

Jay Halstead and Hailey Upton — commonly referred to as Upstead — have reunited following their offscreen breakup on Chicago P.D.. This raises the question: what are the odds they’ll tie the knot again?

Tracy Spiridakos discussed the possibility of returning to the popular NBC series while juggling her new USA Network project, Anna Pigeon. She expressed enthusiasm, saying, “I love visiting Chicago and being with the team. I would definitely love that. One hundred percent. They just need to call me.”

When Us floated the idea of a reunion involving Upton and Halstead’s (played by Jesse Lee Soffer) wedding, Spiridakos, 38, humorously responded, “Another wedding! Let’s do it again … that’s hilarious!”

The love story between Upton and Halstead has evolved throughout Chicago P.D., but their journey ultimately came to a shocking halt due to the actors’ exits — Soffer departed during season 10 and Spiridakos left in season 11.

“I read the pilot and completely fell in love with it. I wasn’t familiar with the books before this project, but the character fascinated me. Despite undergoing personal grief and navigating her tragedy, she possesses a lighthearted and humorous side that I appreciate,” she shared with Us.

Spiridakos expressed excitement about embarking on a new journey, sharing, “I was really drawn to this. While Hailey was an intense character to portray, Anna is the opposite; she’s impulsive and more expressive. It’s fun to explore her carefree nature. Both characters are strong women, but they approach life differently, which is captivating for me.”

She concluded: “They’re both intricate and powerful women, but they express it in their unique ways, making it appealing to get to know Anna more.”

Anna Pigeon premieres Friday, August 7, at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network.
