The Girls Cast Discuss Khloe Kardashian’s Support for Their New Show
The Girls cast expresses their gratitude towards Khloé Kardashian for her unwavering support both on and off the screen while they navigate their new reality series.
“Khloé is our executive producer and the voice behind our friend group,” Malika Haqq shared exclusively with Us earlier this month. “She pops in frequently as a sort of therapist figure since she can’t be around all the time while we film, but she’s always present.”
Hulu’s fresh reality show invites viewers into Khloé’s close-knit circle, showcasing her friends as they deal with the joys and challenges of motherhood, romance, business, and life under public scrutiny.
With Khloé, 42, taking on the role of executive producer, Malika, 43, believes the ensemble cast — featuring Khadijah Haqq-McCray, Yris Palmer, Natalie Halcro, Olivia Pierson, and Nicole Williams English — felt more comfortable knowing their friend was instrumental in shaping the series.
“I believe this made us more comfortable because, in truth, every one of us has been approached to lead a reality show before, yet we never felt entirely at ease with the concept,” Malika shared. “Khloé created the perfect environment for us to feel safe and truly enjoy our experience on reality television, especially within our friend group. We are not without our imperfections and challenging moments, but ultimately, when we wrapped it up, we felt, ‘You know what, guys? We can stand behind what we produced. We created a good show.’”
Throughout the six-episode series, viewers witness the cast forming deeper connections with one another. This process brings about unexpected tensions, past issues, and differing viewpoints.
Fortunately, Khloé ensured that the drama didn’t escalate too much.

“None of us anticipated how much she would film alongside us, which we appreciated because that’s our actual lives,” Olivia, 36, told Us. “I thought she had so much on her plate — her own show, her kids, her businesses. We were thrilled that she chose to spend time and film with us. I believe she seeks authenticity in this, and that’s what she brought. As our friend, that’s what we captured during filming, and it was wonderful to have her involved.”
Khloé is not the only family member making a cameo this season. Kylie Jenner also appears for a fun evening out with the girls.
The occasion was particularly meaningful for Yris, 36, who is still acclimating to the reality TV landscape after establishing her beauty brand, Star Lash Extensions.
“Kylie is one of my closest friends. She’s incredibly supportive,” Yris told Us. “She embodies the essence of a supportive friend, so it was wonderful to have her join us for an evening out. Her entire family’s backing means the world to us.”
The Girls: A Khloé Kardashian Project is currently available for streaming on Hulu.
