The Challenge’s Anna Leigh Wilson Issues Apology for Flirty Behavior

The Challenge: Cutthroat star Anna Leigh Wilson has expressed her regret regarding some of her interactions with costar Leo Dionicio.

“I said things that I shouldn’t have, and I can understand why people may feel disappointed or uncomfortable while watching,” Anna Leigh, 31, stated via Instagram on Wednesday, August 19. She acknowledged that her behavior was inconsiderate to her husband, Coy Wilson, and their relationship. “I’m married, and I realize the conversation went beyond a limit I should have never let it cross. I take full responsibility for that.”

In the Wednesday episode of The Challenge: Cutthroat, cameras captured playful banter between Anna Leigh and Leo, 24, during challenges.

“You’ve been my f***ing eye candy since day one. I’ve been trying to keep my cool,” Leo — who previously appeared on season 5 of Love Island USA — remarked. “I would find so much joy in giving you the best f***ing day of your life right here, while everyone’s watching.”

Anna Leigh responded, “I so want us to make it to the final round. … I’m horny as f***.”

According to The Amazing Race alum, viewers missed significant events that took place while filming.

“What wasn’t aired was the conversation I had afterward, where I felt humiliated and apologized to Leo, acknowledging that my actions disrespected my husband and anyone in a committed relationship,” she wrote. “I also disclosed everything to my husband as soon as I regained access to my phone, and we’ve spent months having discussions, working through it, and addressing it privately together.”

Anna Leigh continued, “The atmosphere was charged, emotions were heightened, and alcohol played a part, but none of that justifies my words. I’m not expecting anyone to excuse it either. I simply wish to be honest about the fact that what you’re seeing doesn’t capture the whole story or my handling of it afterward.”

When The Challenge’s official Instagram shared a clip, Leo also took responsibility for his role in the situation by commenting, “My fault guys. The drinks had me overlyyyy goin 😭 but uhhh I kept my distance and nothing happened.”

Viewers — along with some fellow contestants — continue to react to what made it onto the final cut.

“Oh. I didn’t realize it was this severe 👀,” fellow contestant Cara Maria Sorbello commented. “Meanwhile her handsome husband who placed a big ol rock on her finger was taking care of her farm animals at home 😭.”

In her comment, Anna Leigh recognized her mistake and is committed to taking responsibility for it privately.

“I addressed it with the person who means the most to me,” she stated. “I can accept that people may not like my actions, believe me. I’m not proud of it, but I hope people can also acknowledge that there is a real person and an actual marriage behind this screen.”

The Challenge: Cutthroat is currently streaming on Paramount+ with new episodes released every Wednesday.
