Jessica Shannon and Shyann McCant Finalize Their Divorce

Mama June Shannon’s daughter Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon is officially single, as confirmed exclusively by Us.

A court in Georgia has finalized the 29-year-old’s divorce from Shyann, 23, officially dissolving their marriage on August 27. This conclusion comes just over a month after the reality star initiated the process to end their 10-month union, according to legal documents.

As Us has previously reported, Jessica filed for divorce in Jones County on July 24.

Following the divorce, Jessica’s maiden name was restored, according to the documents. The former couple is also “restrained and enjoined” from “harassing each other.”

Jessica and Shyann got married in September 2025. They later recorded a separate ceremony for their family’s reality TV show, Mama June: Family Crisis season 8, which premiered in May. Just a month after their televised wedding aired, Jessica surprised fans with the announcement of their separation.

“As many of you may know, Shyann and I are no longer together,” she stated via a Facebook post on June 2. “We mutually agreed that this was the best decision for both of us.”

Jessica urged her followers to show respect during her public breakup.

“Yes, we are still friends, and yes, we are both civil with each other, but we are no longer in a romantic relationship,” she added. “We kindly ask that everyone respects our privacy during this time. Please refrain from sending hate or negativity to either of us. This is already a challenging situation, and hurtful comments or unnecessary drama won’t make it any easier.”

In response to Jessica’s announcement, Mama June commented on her daughter’s separation, alleging that Shyann was unfaithful.

“Well, since I’m always blamed for every relationship failing, and since it was shared publicly, here’s what you’ve all been asking for: Shyann cheated with McKenzie, who is in the red shirt,” she posted on Instagram on July 21, alongside a photo of Shyann with a group of individuals. “You’re welcome so everyone can stop digging now #reality #cheater #mamajune #divorce #SpillTheTea.”

Shortly after Mama June’s post made headlines, Shyann admitted to cheating on Jessica.

“I take full responsibility for [the cheating],” Shyann stated on Facebook on July 21. “I’m not making excuses and I’m not trying to change what happened. I also can’t say I wish none of this had been shared. I understand that by posting parts of my life, I’m opening up for opinions from others.”

A week later, Jessica officially filed for divorce, citing their separation date as June 1. The divorce documents were signed on July 17, with Jessica stating that their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
