Lori Loughlin, along with her estranged spouse Mossimo Giannulli and their daughters, Bella and Olivia Jade, navigated a challenging time due to the parents’ purported involvement in the notorious college admissions scandal, yet they also experienced joyful moments as a family.
The Full House star first encountered Giannulli in 1995, and just two years later, the couple eloped on Thanksgiving, November 27, 1997.
Loughlin and the founder of Mossimo welcomed their first daughter, Bella, on September 16, 1998. The following year, Loughlin gave birth to their second daughter, Olivia Jade, on September 28, 1999. Olivia Jade eventually became a social media influencer through her YouTube channel, amassing over 1 million subscribers with her beauty and fashion content.
Bella and Olivia Jade both attended the University of Southern California. In March 2019, Loughlin and Giannulli were apprehended for allegedly falsifying their daughters’ involvement in USC’s crew team as part of a bribery scheme for college admission. A month later, the couple pleaded not guilty to conspiracy charges involving fraud and money laundering. By October 2019, Us Weekly confirmed that Bella and Olivia Jade were no longer enrolled at USC.
In May 2020, Loughlin and Giannulli shifted their approach and entered guilty pleas. By August 2020, a judge sentenced her to two months behind bars, two years of supervised release, 100 hours of community service, and a $150,000 fine, while he received five months in prison, two years of supervised release, a $250,000 fine, and 250 hours of community service.
In October 2025, the family again captured news headlines as Loughlin and Giannulli parted ways after nearly three decades of marriage. Loughlin subsequently filed for divorce in September 2026.
