Britney Spears Marks Jayden’s Birthday with a Heartfelt Tribute
Britney Spears is honoring her son Jayden James Federline on his 20th birthday with a heartfelt and genuine post on social media.
“Happy birthday to my handsome young boy! Oh dear lord, we have this beautiful thing called life ahead of us; it’s such a delicate and wonderful thing,” the 44-year-old pop sensation shared on Instagram on Saturday, September 12, along with a nostalgic photo of Jayden.
In the image, Spears’ son is dressed in a flannel shirt and black pants, posing for an unspecified photographer.
“I hope to be the best mommy in the world every day of your life!!!!” Spears concluded her post.
Spears shares Jayden and his sibling Sean Preston with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. The singer had been estranged from both children for a while but has recently been rebuilding their relationships amid her ongoing legal issues.

“Her boys are going to be spending time with her,” Spears’ representative told Us in a statement back in March after the pop star was arrested on suspicion of DUI. “Her loved ones are working on creating a much-needed plan to ensure her well-being.”
Weeks later, a source informed Us that Spears voluntarily entered a treatment facility following “several discussions” with both of her sons. (Spears pleaded guilty to a lesser misdemeanor charge of “wet reckless” driving, leading to the dismissal of her DUI charge, and received 12 months probation without jail time.)
“They voiced their concerns about her recent actions and encouraged her to seek professional help, which she has needed for a long time, to get back on track,” the insider exclusively shared with Us at that time. “All they’ve ever wanted was for their mom to be healthy and happy, even during their years apart. They hope she will take it seriously.”
Another source told Us that Spears checked into the facility to demonstrate to her children that she was taking her arrest “seriously.”
In July, Jayden came to his mother’s defense by publicly dismissing an online conspiracy theory suggesting that the pop star was deceased and had been replaced.
“I hop on TikTok, and I see this video that has 1.2 million likes with the caption, ‘The biggest theory ever: Is Britney Spears still alive?’” Jayden remarked during a July 17 livestream, as captured in recorded footage. “Like, bro, you can just look at her page and see her right now.”
He added, “It makes it clear to me that much of what’s portrayed in the media is exaggerated and false. People exploit the gullibility of others. Anyone who sees this stuff just believes it without doing any research; they’re just like, ‘Wow, that’s crazy. I believe it.’”
